Today

The birds are chirping,
My heart leaps up for joy
For the music I hear is calming
Exciting every cell in my body

I look across the long lonely room
It’s still dark but I see some little
Light illuminating away the deadly doom
Prompting a fresh feeling so gentle

I lack words to describe exactly how I feel
But don’t worry if I don’t really say it
For you’ll see and know it’s so real
What I feel deep down from the heart

What a lovely new beginning!
Today is a new day of restoration
For what I have been bargaining
From life in a quest for total liberation

Long are gone those weary days
When I lacked vision and direction
And my bones became brittle in decay
What a wretched being I was in that dudgeon!

Now my eyes clearly can see,
Far beyond the imaginary horizon
Further than the farthest stretch of the sea
Far beyond the stars and the moon and the sun blazons.

The Cloud and the Sea

The cloud was swollen and heavy
Hanging loosely over the sea
And the sea was quickly becoming wavy
At the power of a violent breeze

The cloud released a heavy pour down
Of heavy torrents of rain
That the sea received in a frown
But the cloud couldn’t refrain

The palm tree watched in awe
At the scenes that unfolded
Just a few miles off the shore
“Stop it cloud” the palm tree scolded

Then the cloud quickly retreated and disappeared,
Leaving the sea in unease calm
Then the bright sun broadly appeared
Prompting the sea to smile at the palm

Love Came Searching

Man is mortal, a mere worm,
A mist that appears quickly then vanish.
Like a flower that flourishes,
And very soon its beauty withers,
Then its place remembers it no more.
Like new grass that appear in the morning,
Then wither and dry in the evening.
Like the memory that’s lost no sooner,
Than your eyes move from the mirror.
So is the life of a mortal man,
Who lack the Eternal Hope.

Who has seen or understands Love?
Love came searching.
With a Royal crown on His head,
With an open heart and stretched hands.
He chose humility and mockery,
To mend the broken relationship.
His children were perishing in a valley.
Then a spear that pierced His side,
Opened a fountain stream that flowed freely,
And swept through the valley of death.
Then the valley flourished with unending life.

A choice we’ve been given,
To choose between life and death.
To choose between a curse and a blessing
Then there was the best gift ever,
Best presented on a tree.
From the most loving and caring Father.
A gift so special and precious yet free.
More precious than gold and rubies and silver
This gift was the only way to immortalize,
Your life from ebbing and wasting away.
If you choose Him, you choose life!

Love promised that... He will never leave us.
He will always fight our battles
He will strengthen us when we are weak
He will help us move mountains
He will give us wisdom unknown
We shall tread on snakes and not be bitten…
For we needed to remain on the right path
So Love gave us a faithful Teacher and Helper
Who would always gently whisper
Nothing but the whole Truth
And lead us through the path of life.

Before and After Christ Jesus

Before I met you,
I had searched among men,
I had searched among women,
But I didn’t find any of your kind
I had searched all over in vain.
I didn’t find you on the mountain
I didn’t find you at the ocean
I didn’t find you in the park
I didn’t find you in a song,
You were not in a poem
Yet you were a mystery
You were here, there, everywhere.

Then I met you;
A new chapter began in my life
That ushered a world of unknown adventure
And unending intense pleasure.
Like a flower my life blossomed
And bore fruits of pure joy
In the new everlasting light
For I had found myself the true love
A love more precious than a treasure-trove
A love so high than the sky above
And so deep than the ocean
The kind of love that isn’t mean
The Agape love of Christ Jesus!

Looking For You

Today I am looking for you.
I am looking here, there, everywhere.
When I asked them about you,
I was told you are everywhere.

So God, where are you?
I’m finding the place called everywhere.
I’ll be happy to find you.
For I will have discovered everywhere.

When I find you, I’ll be eternally free.
From fear, anguish, uncertainty, worry, agony…
That’s why you hang on tree.
A love act such an astony!
