City of Grass

There's a city and it's made of grass.
Fragile and Delicate, but strong enough to withstand the forces of nature.
The Chlorophyll-filled buildings swaying from side to side.
The frosty green colors, dripping in morning dew.
The city, so peaceful, yet so active.
The only thing happening, is the swaying...from left...to right.

Lovely Rose

Why is a rose a symbol of love?
Is it the lushious velvety red color?
Is it the beautiful spiral the petals make?
Or is it the gestures that come with the rose?
Why are roses the common flower for Valentine's Day?
Is it perhaps the same in general?
My interpretation of the rose is quite deeper.
The stem being the point in time where we first connect The thorns being the obstacles we face together.
The lushious velvety red color being the happiness and color of our beaming faces on our wedding day.
And the beautiful swirling petals being the illustrious and amazing life we live together.

Turn Back

On the inside, I’m imploding at a slow and painful rate. If only people could understand my pain, understand my thoughts, understand why I am the way I am. Maybe no one will ever understand. Maybe no one will ever care to try. I try to stay true to God, I do the best I can. I feel terrible because I’m probably not true enough for God’s expectations. I wish I could get a reset on life, every mistake I made rewind so I can fix it. Every trauma I experienced rewind so I can attempt to stop it. Like Bon Jovi, I wish I had the power to turn back time.

Would You Still Love Me

Would you still love me,
If I was a beast?
Would you still love me,
If I had ravenous urges?
Would you still love me,
If I lived in a cave made of yeast?
Would you still love me,
If I loved eating poisonous spurges?

Would you still love me,
If I had a mental illness?
Would you still love me,
If I had a low IQ?
Would you still love me,
If my eyes were crossed with stillness?
Would you still love me,
If my head was tiny like a shrew?

Would you still love me,
If I had a leg amputation?
Would you still love me,
If I had only three fingers on my hand?
Would you still love me,
If I believed in reincarnation?
Would you still love me,
If I didn't have the ability to stand?

Would you still love me,
If I'm not the man of your dreams?
Would you still love me,
If was unable to full fill all your needs?
Would you still love me,
If I was deaf, unable to hear your screams?
Would you still love me,
If I couldn't fix your heart that bleeds?

Patience

You will never find love if you search for it.
It will duck
Dive
Jump
Run
Hide
It will do anything it can to stay out of grasp
Only those whom behold the most powerful virtue
Patience
Can attain love
Patience
The forgotten building block of human essence
Those who give up searching for love
Live their life
Demonstrating great patience
Become successful
Will have love come to them
Not just any love
True love
The greatest and purest love

Fly Eagle Fly

I want to fly high like an eagle
I want to fly high through the sky
I want to fly where there are no limitations
I want to fly where there are no expectations
I want to fly somewhere new
I want to fly somewhere that isn't here
I want to fly through the clouds
I want to fly through the night with no concerns
I want to fly eagle fly
I want to fly eagle fly

I Don'T Understand

What is life and why am I here?
Why is life filled with nothing but rage and fear?
Couldn't ask my momma until she finished her beer.
So I sit here and wait trying not to shed a tear.

I don't understand what it's like to be happy.
I don't understand what it's like to not be so sad.
I don't understand what it's like to be able to trust a human being.
I don't understand what it's like to live life like a normal person.

The feeling of waking up not knowing if I'll survive the day is scary.
Not understanding why people can just walk around all happy and merry.
This world is messed up.
My life is messed up.
I can't get out.
I think I'm stuck.

I don't understand what it's like to be happy.
I don't understand what it's like to not be so sad.
I don't understand what it's like to be able to trust a human being.
I don't understand what it's like to live life like a normal person.

Mankind

Walking down the narrow path of darkness
Souls of black wash away in the skys
Gothic satire drips from the corners of the Earth
Bloodlust creatures scavenge the cores of nothingness
Picking and prying each bone like strings off a guitar
Everything they do is in vain of the other
Despite their dangerous similarities
They despise one another.

Turning My Brain Off

I'm sorry, I can't fall asleep.
My head keeps spinning.
Under every brain cell is a new lyric,
A new mood,
A new genre of music,
A new version of life.
I can't contain my thoughts.
I can't compact my fears.
Even through holy prayer,
I can't figure out the directions which my emotions steers.
Lyrics run rampant in my skull.
Bashing and crashing against the rock-hard bone.
Hoping to get through and open everything up.
I can't wait until this storm is over.
Maybe then I'll be able to see the sunshine.

Moons of Harvest

Moons of many moons a plenty
The one moon I love is the harvest
Looking at you I'll never feel empty
In my opinion you are the far best

Your beautiful figure and the face you show
The sky you ignite in the dead of night
Your glorious color and gleaming glow
Little did you know you're my only light
