Dustanya Diri

What is Jawi?
What is Rumi?
What is Sufi?
Who is Hamzah Fansuri?

We know Marco,
We know Atlas,
We know Amerigo,
But who is Al-Attas?

Sudah hilangkah jati diri?
Ibarat Laki tinggalkan Bini!
Lupakah hati bahasa sendiri?
Adat di jiwa bak karatnya kersani!

Undertaker

At the corner of my eyes,
Tears subside, left from the high,
Fueled by melancholic memories;
No time for goodbyes,
Likewise---forever they lie,
For the final rite, let me bury.

Thirst

My throat feels sore,
   A thirst that need to adore;
A needless bore,
   Amidst the heat within my core.

Happy Ramadhan ...

The Herdsman

On a sunny day,
The herdsman observes,
As usual the herds,
Towards the pasture they heed.
Advance! Advance!
As the slaughtering is today,
The merchant delightfully spends for his pay,
No longer living in despair.

While manning the herds, a question remains unanswered.
Good riddance!
What kind of this diabolic creature,
Struggle to survive, never,
Strive for the best, sympathy is an err.
Uncertainty costs the future,
Like the herds living in the pasture,
Hope and dream no longer.

Alas, the end is near,
No treat for the fever,
Their death fortunes others.

You Know It Already

Life is sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter,
What is tend to be wrong, we try to make it better;
How much courage do we need to muster?
How long we need to master?
For all the mistakes that have been committed.

Oh, I wish that Time is my friend,
But, that beast eating me from inside.
Before I know, these limbs feel nothing,
Like succumbed into a big, big jelly.
Until life is no more to beat.

Funny, isn't it?

The Untouchable

Awoke, rises from death,
   A long journey embarks again;
Broke, loosen from faith,
   Swiftly strike, no more bargain.

Disappointment

A blank, white paper.
Hate disappointing myself.
Asking for a chance.

Monday's Blue

My eyes are red,
   My mouth is blue;
My body is on the bed,
   But the work is due.

Self-Reflection

Cheer me, you false monotheist,
On what quest shall I partake,
Like a lively baron with no plate,
'Cause the end is created by the fake,
The Great Solemn is what it takes,
The greatest question shall I say,
For what purpose shall I stay.

Instruments

Knife and pen, both should be warned,
Tools of deed and death,
Heart and life, they were scavenged,
By any means, please keep your faith,
Perhaps, you can dream like Creath.
