Holding On

Giving up on us when we control the bus that will lead us to bliss, but instead you hiss and say it's over when all we need is a makeover. We do need a break from all this heartache, but you are so consumed to leave while I grieve. The pain of breaking up our family seems to have no repair, oh so much despair. We can strive, survive and thrive. Just a little patience and hard work, please don't think I am being a jerk. No need to bypass or us to be an ass. It is what it is, but for this and our long journey wasn't a tourney. We are special even today, as I pray for a continued commitment to remain real as I kneel. You are my mate, please don't hate as we can create what we have been looking for-- LOVE. It really doesn't need to be created, it's just been belated. Hidden deep within our heart, once again it can start. Pain and with no gain, the choices we made are in the past; rejoice and have a blast. Forgiving and giving a pass to share a new perspective on life without strife. We've come a long way to fray. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow we share a bond more than we'll ever know. Believe together we can weave our hearts and enjoy a lifetime of happiness, not madness, or sadness. As we chase after what we seek from each other, finding laughter, love, and living as meant thereafter.
