The Silly Farmer

Awoken was the farmer one bright and early dawn,
Restless and he couldn’t sleep,
So he thought he’d mow the lawn.

He went into the garden and got down upon his knees,
Much to surprise to the farmer’s wife,
He was cutting it with his teeth.

He rode across the golden fields to pick his corn that day,
Sat upon a squealing pig whilst munching on some hay.

He tried to milk the horses and had the sheep all wearing socks,
He round up all his chickens to dig up all his crops.

He fed the cows spaghetti and dressed the dog and cat, both had matching shirt and tie and a flowery matching hat.

He was a silly farmer, he loved to dance and play,
The farmers wife looked on and laughed for this was just another day.

Star Light

Under twilight, autumn sky,
Enigma entwined in grace I see.
I sit in awe, unmoved, untethered,
Witness to its majesty.

Black canvass beautifully submerged in hue,
Intricate star line throughout,
Glittering constellations,
From the plough to Orion’s belt.

Vast starlight nebula in bloom,
Gaia’s creed beneath in pass,
In comparison, simplicity,
Negligible to its mass.

Winter Solstice

Ethereal light unveils to see,
Lambent orbs softly flurry.
Supernal purple sky in glee,
Sprite in dance at winters glory.

Immutable part of nature’s charm,
Beautifully engulfed on mountain tops,
Lay in crown on forest floors,
Crystal likes and sapling tops.

Enchanted valley and clime,
Softly touched by winters kiss,
Elegant and sublime,
Timeless seasonal solstice.

Fallen Soldier

Crimson cascades, unbridled, desolation intrudes, spark remains like embers a glow, the dead of the night likely to take him, the world does not see, does not know.

Fields of foreign soil, whispers masked, overshadowed, bleak is the wintry air that fills his lungs, laid harrowed.

Bright are the thoughts of days long past, moments of clarity in darkness cast.
Emphatic ruin bestowed him remains,
Honours thyself on murderous plains.

Sacrifice takes him to new tranquil abode,
Remember him we must, our respect is owed.

Watchful Eyes

Cherry blossom blooms from delicate bough,
Trickling waters cascade into stream,
Columns of grass in thicket in growth,
Watchful eyes embrace from Selene.

Fluorescent beams flicker through leaves,
Dance and sway as they fall to earth,
Witness to all in intricate loom,
She watches life in thrive in birth.

She gazes down from empyrean,
Joyous to light it gives her delight,
Illuminates all in beauteous serene,
Shadow flickers hidden from sight.

Celestial wonder braces the sky,
Radiant glimmer through evergreen.
Forest of life under watchful eye,
Coppice shimmer in gleam.

Night Time

Trees stand in silhouette,
Against back drop of orange fade and pastel blue sky.
Colours a blur, fast paced streetlights,
Birds rustle treetops and take rest from flight.

Shadows dance in moonlight shone bright,
Ingenuity masks my eye,
Sound ripples and echoes,
Starry night so divine.

Dusk is a different world,
New thought in bloom.
Senses are heightened,
Wintry breath in plume.

The Ocean

Perpetual sapphire immense and unique,
Unassailable saline, wonderous blue deep.
Shimmering waves of delicate notion,
Staggering in grandeur, rhythmic in motion.

Copious with time, such beauty astounds,
Orchestra of entities in darkness profound.
Sonorous with life under twilight aglow,
Silhouette of giants swim delicately below.

Marine alga swept aside with the tide,
Waves crash steadily onto to silver shores.
Flounder and coral vibrant in sight,
Surreal mass of beasts sweeps the ocean floor.

Blue whales in verse in personified tune,
Unfettered plethora in magical bloom.

Seraph

Perpetual beauty as such leaves me flawed,
It holds me in its rhythm, entranced,
My reason for, my ardour,
My pride deepens, my valour romanced.

Frozen in time, fatherhood sublime,
You hold my heart and capture my being,
You are the meaning, the reason I survive,
I will always be there for my girls, empyrean.

As the sand falls, I’ll be my all,
Until I’m gone an am nothing but dust,
I will cherish you all until I am called,
My love for you, as always robust.

Change

Perfidious eyes in shadow forsake me,
I Shun celestial dawn,
Tainted by thine fatal kiss,
It persuades me, unhallowed,
undone.

Laid on a bed of stone in mire,
Impurity enthralling the beast within,
Thirst takes on new desire,
Crescent moon heightens new sin.

Arisen from ash and roses in wilt,
Breath takes its leave, one last exhale.
Not a single drop of pure blood is spilt,
New ravenous urge as my old self fails.

I lay dead yet awake,
My eyes open for this first time,
A feeling like no other enslaves me.
No creature can evade me,
The world in wait is mine.
