Sins

Ashamed to avow my sins,
A burden mine alone to bear,
Broken beyond repair,
Baptized in gold to fill the cracks,
Restless nights, Velour gowns turning to sacks
No amount of gold brings relief,
Debased by lies and deceit,
Beg for forgiveness,
And you shall be forgiven,
He, who knows all, saw underneath my veneer,
A pain, a woe played for deaf ears,
I beseech my lord to forgive my misdeeds abhorred,
Let my midnight scribble turn into beautiful word.

Little Bunny

Hopping little bunny loved the store,
Hidden by the trees near the shore,
She loved candies and playing outdoors.
‘Stranger danger” her mommy said,
Little bunny didn’t listen she ended up dead.
Skinned alive her fur was painted red,
So listen to your mama stupid thickhead.
Hmm I wonder why I can’t write poems for kids.
Wait.. Why are those parents chasing me with sticks?

Unavowed Promise

Forlorn tinged faces reminiscing old times
Where smiles did not enshroud an ache,
And the grueling effort it had to take,
Cries of help in their throat they were caught
Feeling a shimmer of serenity not a bit distraught,
But that's the thing about pain,
It might leave for brief moments,
But comes back like an unavowed promise from grey clouds to carry the rain.

Change

Summer cries, autumn whispers,
I bloomed, like spring roses, despite my winters.
One by one, my petals fell,
Enchanted by an eerie spell,
Blown away by violent wind and hailstorms,
But they always grow back in their most delightful forms.
It’s a beautiful change, from seed to rose
The one who had to shed his old shell knows
A change is never easy but is a must,
So fear not what you might become, and in the process, you have to trust.

In the Mortuary

When I lay in the mortuary,
Don’t cry, smile and appreciate my journey.
Throughout life, at times, I lived wary.
I carried hope, love and even the burdening worry.
When I lay in the mortuary,
Before I’m buried and forgotten in a cemetery,
About my death don’t ask questions,
Don’t whisper in my stiff, blue ears confessions.
Few would come to my funeral,
Fewer would weep.
Few would care,
Fewer would lose sleep.
When I lay in the mortuary,
Burn my drafts and books,
My life was dull and ordinary.

The Art of Madness

I clung to my tragedies,
like drowning person clings to air,
Madness is my art,
I write best in my gloom,
Share my darkest fears in the brightest rooms,
To crowds that don't feel my despair,
Don't see truth in my tales,
Tragedies cling to me like perfumes in air.
Your scars might be visible,
Mines are not,
They live on my skin,
And inhabit my thoughts.

Eccedentesiast

I'm a quiet person by nature
And often people think of me as strange,
a clumsy, introverted creature
who they wish could for once change.
I might look quiet and calm
but the thoughts spiral I'm trapped in making it feel like a storm,
I crave solitude because I'm too drained to explain
That each storm leaves me with crippling pain.

Meow, Meow: Bang, Bang Parody

I was old when he was a baby
my feline loved me ardently, but he drove me crazy.

He loved to play at midnight when everyone slept,
Chewed on toys and on my covers he often crept.

Meow Meow, baby scratched me
Meow Meow, i tried to flee
Meow Meow, he was on a killing spree
Meow Meow, he got distracted by a bee

O'sweet little cat I'm about to throw you out the window,
or smother your sweet face in my pillow.

your tiny claws marked my skin,
painted by blood from deep within.

Meow Meow, A baby scratched me
Meow Meow, i tried to flee
Meow Meow, he was on a killing spree
Meow Meow, he got distracted by a bee

Endless Stairs

Step
                                                          each
                                                with
                                Crooked
                      more
          getting
                       bones
                                 splintered
                                                  with
                                                           stairs

                                                               endless
                                                        an
                                         climbing
                             Like
                 feels
        It
