She Wondered

She spent her youth in concert sinning
A fact half known but fast ignored
"I'll trade your past for a new beginning"
Said off the cuff but now an ode

She wonders if he really knows

She feels her body's spent for giving
A good man she deems him, and rightly so
Complicates further the decision
"Oh god where were you before,
Before I mastered at deceiving?"
So close to words these thoughts did grow
But prunned by his ribbon wrapped unveling

She wonders if she should say 'no'

"I'm I my past or my ambition?"
She wants a family and a home
To lead a life that's worth it living
Her mouths agape set to respond
No trace of his confidence thinning
A persistent shiver in her bones

She wonders if it's her he's seeing

His knee is floored, his face is grinning
He thinks her flattered to the brimming
Her head is spinning, her limbs are cold
She whispers, 'yes...'
                                    As she wonders on....

I Kill Neither

I'm lead, to follow, just behind your pace
I'll express your whim, harmful or benign,
Your thoughts mulled over harmless or malign
I'll accept your kin, will not judge by race

A keen hopelessness does bare on their face
When my eye meets theirs and their eyes meet mine
Their half breathed words profuse without design
Breathed full or not, left breathless without a trace

And yet I precede to enforce your will
Where you see the sun, I see stars above
What men achieve, I ensure you surpass

What your mind does conjure we can fulfill
I do not excel in matters of love
But allow your reach to exceed your grasp

Her Beauty Within My Eyes

Beauty lies
About what beauty knows
Because when beauty left
She kept that beauty close
And what this beauty kept
Never with beauty goes
So that when beauty dies
Its not her beauty fall

I thought when beauty cries
Its not a beauty show
And when beauty wept
I'd dread that beauty flow
Until my beauty slept
And back came beauty fore
As if that beauty sept
Awoke her beauty more

Who not can beauty tempt?
What not can beauty haul?
With Helen's beauty etched
Beneath the beauty floor.
