color can be so beautiful
it can create quite a stare
those who are lucky to see it,
it can also make us aware
it highlights each moment
and movements in life
it can produce emotions
like joy and delight
it can stop the mind simply
by presenting itself
in such beauty and grandeur
that time sits on a shelf
it can become someones dream
just to see color expressed
like seeing the northern lights
or watching a sunset
it's magical, ethereal
it brings love into view
color is a presence
and it reminds me of you

what is this excitement
that suddenly is created
by something observed
or something stated
it sparks your interest
a thrill to be known
some part of you is looking
for your next step to be shown
it’s a guiding spark
from inside of you
showing the way
for you to breakthrough
experiencing your excitement
it’s your soul’s way of driving
you to become driven towards
what makes you feel thriving
it’s a piece of your puzzle
that’s not yet in place
you feel it when you’re not
complete in your space
to feel like the one
you are meant to be
complete and happy
and fulfilling your destiny
make sure you’re aware
when you feel a spark
it’s a signpost that’s saying
this way to your Ark

following the butterfly
the process is mystifying
magical and very unique
from a crawly worm
to becoming magnifique
it’s alot like the process
from a vision without a cause
to the one knowing that everything
exists within your pause
to become the beautiful one
that everyone hopes to be
starts with the mind being
still, and in harmony
your true self is a butterfly
waiting to be released
each of us has their own
pattern of being at peace
yes… peace has a pattern
it’s soothing to see
but more often it’s felt
putting everyone at ease
it’s because of this peace
we look at butterflies
by watching them be,
our peace is recognized

one thing you take with you
is the choices that you make
make your decisions wisely
or turn over at your wake
choices are forever
they make and break your life
some of them are yours to choose
while others make your plight
it doesn't really matter
who's the culprit at this point
it's what lives inside your heart
when you make your final flight
what you leave behind
are the memories of your stay
what's important is to know
is if you made someone's life, a better day

don’t follow the who you are not
if this title strikes your fancy
then you have become awake
you have found the oasis
and know what’s at stake
it’s a razor’s edge
between happiness and pain
the mind holds it all
either suffer or gain
at some point you choose
who to listen to
the ego or your heart
which one, is “you”?
the ego separates, concurs,
and enjoys making you feel
you’re the wisest and greatest,
with your view, the best deal
while your heart is the soul of your being
it knows it’s part of the one
it feels compassion, through understanding
and sits in silence, listening for fun
it’s the who you really are
and follow it you should do
it always gives the greatest gifts
following the heart, is being you

patience
patience has to be practiced
a process worth learning
mostly, it’s a mind game
accepting the now with no yearning
yes you can see a future
but no time is involved
it’s a feeling of calmness
and surrender for life to evolve
it’s a presence that’s felt
both inside and out
like a shield that protects
if there’s calamity about
it’s important to know
that patience has a flow
it’s not without moving
towards the dreams you sow
even though it sits
in no time that exists
patience brings closer

you’re one in a billion
you’re very unique
a treasure to know
a diamond to seek
see with the eyes
that came with your birth
it’s not what a magazine
tells you you’re worth
you’re one that matters
who has a great fate,
it’s your own perfect being
walking through your gate
it’s not what someone says,
that you are or that you’re not
any changes you make
is for your being most sought
each of us is a gift
that belongs to the whole

humanity
if i was to whisper
what i would love to see
is a world filled with peace
in a place called humanity
where virtues are the streets
that can carry our desires
homes and buildings are filled
with our hopes to inspire
every moment is taken
to show our love and respect
for all the beings we meet
while passing on no regrets
can you imagine such a world
filled with harmony and grace
accepting our differences
and allowing some space
it’s really not far from
a moment of pure presence
the mind lays down
revealing humanity’s loving essence

through the eyes of knowing
is stillness seeing
from motion comes movement
because life starts breathing
the dancing play of life creating
the details of the orchestra
which plays the tune of our day
with harmonies and melodies
and sometimes tragedies
becomes our symphony
whilst living out our lives
we learn the rules and why
becoming is our being
to the One to know is
the who is seeing
when towards the ending
and life feels fulfilling
it's because a door
