My Nintendo

Playing soccer on my small nintendo
I envied great stars like ronaldo
The great pele and romario
"Ronaldo,ronaldo"
The music rises to a cresendo
Right from my small nintendo
I could hear the rhythm of the piano
And my blood ripples at the sound of the concerto
I danced until i'm lost in the solo
Suddenly i was revived by the diminuendo
Of this mystic sound from my nintendo
I checked the terminal to the audio
Oh!,it has been disconnected by antonio
My friend from colorado

Air Transport

To fly without wings
Higher and higher,soar
Above the stormy region
Set on high above the waves,
At the sky, with birds of the air competes

Sweet Sorrow

There is nothing more gladdening
Than sorrow at parting-leaving the villege
Though my loosening mat i'll miss
No more owl or the snake hiss
In the jungle greenery resides
Thatches on our house cools the ray
Of the sun like a pair of scissors
Cutting the blanket of dawn from the sky
Such sorrow is;that i shall say goodbye
yet,i smell a happier tommorrow-off to the city

Keegan Armstrong

Here lies the body of keegan armstrong
who has nothing but a feeble arm
Not for work but daily meal raise
After a plentiful meal,he sits calm
Boasting of how strong his arm could be

A Rogue

Beyond these gates
Martin right's at rest
Found by all his mates
Forever in the wrong
Though he tried his best
Till death strike its calling gong

Thomas Bold

Beneath this stone
A lump of clay
Lies the body of thomas bold
Who boast around to say
"I am bold,i am bold"
But cease to be
When death stares at him
I am dying-he scream!

Metamorphosis

Mared and stigmatised
even rejected and cast away
though for some reasons
all now past-see a new being
memories of the past now a scar
on her path ne'er to be forgotten
resulting into blatant discrimination
paradoxical to this view,she's an
haven,a paradise with beauties of nature
oil,wildlives and mineral resources
sought for all over the world even by critics
inspite trheir shortcoming,she still cares
she is a mother indeed,mother of all-Nigeria

Season's Greetings

as always, the cycle af night and day
produces weeks,month and seasons
the old year races fast
into the belly of a welcoming past
and a new one is speedily emerging
from the pregnant womb of the morning

as the seasonal cycle procedes
every sunrise brings a day anew
and its dawn signalled another day to renew
may each cycle of days bring you
joy, happiness and strenght to see you through

Motherland

My beloved country,
In love,unity and luxury;
Radiantly shining in her livery nature,
Beautiful in style and rich in culture.

My dear motherland,
In love and unity band;
I like to love you best,
All lifetime, till i'm laid to rest.

If I wander on a foriegn strand,
I'll ne'er forget my native land;
Her praise will ever be my song,
The source from whence I sprung.

The country of my great ancestor,
Never will i be a traitor;
In love and unity onward go,
'Tis definately my only goal.

O'er land,in the air,o'er mountains and on sea,
I will make all the people see
I'm an african-nay,a Nigerian boy,
Oh,I'm proud of my native soil.
