I'M Sorry

I'm sorry for leaving
the way that I did.
I'm sorry you don't
consider me your kid.
I'm sorry I'm not exactly
what you wanted me to be.
I'm sorry my sister died,
and it hadn't been me.
I'm sorry for having this
mental disease.
I'm sorry my mind
is never at ease.
I'm sorry that I'm
just a huge dissapointment.
I'm sorry I wasn't
just what you wanted.
I'm sorry I now
have a mind of my own.
I'm sorry dad
you have no more control.

Trip To Eternity

I am a lonely sailor
on the bow to eternity.
No family, no friends,
no place to be

I sit and I think
the waters so calm.
I can't wait for the colors
of the oncoming dawn.

Yellows and reds,
and deep shades of blue.
I look at the colors
and it makes me all anew.

This bow is a good thing
if this is what you see,
so I don't really mind
this trip to eternity.

Momma's Smile

I love to see your smiling face,
it makes your beauty come to life,
your glow comes out like embers fire.
If only for a little while.
I know your fighting this battle.
The one between life and death, you have so much to live for
we need you so much.
And yet when i see your smile,
I know your at you're very best.
You know this battle has taken a lot
but please oh please don't ever give up.
You have special places in each of our hearts,
losing you would break them apart.
So keep on fighting don't ever give up
you have so much to live for, we need you so much
I'll do everything in my power
to help you live on.
I'll give up all of me to help you stay strong,
if only for another day
to see that smiling face,
I want you to know in my heart
you'll always have that place.

Loss of a Loved One

I know I left you,
I just could'nt stay.
The pain was inside me
I had to get away

You say you don't understand
I had a long life to live
but I was dying inside,
I had nothing left to give.

So you say you're feeling hurt
you feel you've been betrayed
those were not my intentions
so please don't be afraid.

So when It's your time
you'll see me again.
I'll be free from the pain,
and you'll still be my best friend.

Endless Fall

I'm searching for some peace
In this seemingly souless mind
trying to figure out
if it will all end with just a little time

I was afraid to love you
and now I've lost it all
such an empty feeling
such an endless fall

You know i've lost a lover
you know I've lost a son
I've lost the best part of me
oh God what have I done

So give me the strength
please help me find a was
to get past this empty feeling
to make it through another day.

Belief

I've never been one for prayer
since the death of my sister.
I lost all my faith,
I thought God was a liar.

He took away all who
were important in my life
all who were good
and did'nt deserve to die.

Until one day I got shot
and nearly lost my life
I asked for a preacher,
and he came with his wife

As I lay there in pain
we took each others hands,
the warmth came over me
like laying on warm sand.

I had this unbelievable feeling,
of relief and of ease
my belief had come back
and now I feel the peace.
