Chelsey Marino Poem
The love we had
The same love we lost
What was given from God,
You soon tossed
Took me for granted
We said goodbye
I wish you'd recanted,
Given some sort of reply
I was yours,
Every part of me
Your pain matures,
Mine is set free
My heart is open
To everyone, but you
The love I gave
The same love I took back from you.

Chelsey Marino Poem
In secret we met
in secret we loved
The secret, our threat
In secret we remained
in secret we mourned
The secret, our pain
In secret I gave
In secret you took
The secret, our grave.

Chelsey Marino Poem
The glimmer in your eyes
The spark in your grin
All the love I see
Is engulfing me
I ache for your stare
Yearn for your kiss
Everything i feel
Is taking over me
Our eyes lock
Our lips meet
I am yours,
You've won me

Chelsey Marino Poem
Voices go through
Swirling in my brain
So many untrue
Promises that scream my name
Voices inside
Too many to understand
I want to scream and hide
They quietly take my hand
Voices come in
And lead me astray
With them, I can never win
And they simply won't go away

Chelsey Marino Poem
"Forever," you say
That word holds more than you know
It requires a certain pay
One of mourning and tears
"Forever," you say
Do you know what that means?
It grows bigger every day
With it, grows your fears
"Forever," you say
This word requires a lot
Keep all feelings at bay
Or they will trample your heart
Forever, more than a word
So easy to promise
Yet so hard to keep
And even if you're honest,
This word will cause you to weep
So heed my warning,
Because I know
Forever is deeper than it seems
So say what you mean.

Chelsey Marino Poem
Confident, quiet, and humble
He takes life's trials
And falls and stumbles
Loving, caring, and steadfast
He never gives up,
Even though he's chosen last
Patient, calm, and kind
He will change the world
With only his mind
This boy is a leader
He'll save millions,
Because he's a dreamer.

Chelsey Marino Poem
What is reality?
Please, let me know
The voices inside of me?
Because I simply can't tell
My reality is clouded
By the rattling inside my brain
My reality has ended
Can you point me in the right way?
My reality is lies
Told to me by you
Wounds opened by my cries
Destroys your reality too
Your reality is a dream
You believe what you want
And ignore all my screams
Your reality has created my nightmare.
