Oh Emerald, What a Rare Gem You Are

A rare gem you are,
Even the stars wonder what you are,
As priceless as your name,
Yet you don't struggle for fame,
In the hands of the poor you make him rich,
Not everyone can stretch out for your reach,
People who see you as a mere stone,
Are the ones who miss what you can bestow,
Oh Emerald, what a rare gem you are!!!

Kola lasts in the mouth of those who knows it value,
So you have dwelt with those who know your value,
You like being private, hence the diamond thinks it alone can vibrate,
A few can sing of your awe,
But I can write of your all,
For I have been influenced by your touch,
Your gentle, calm light has engulfed me like a pouch.
Oh Emerald, what a rare gem you are!!!

I held on to you and you took me onshore,
I swam against the tides even when hopes were unsure,
You are the little rock that gave me a purpose,
Hold on to me you said or drown alone I suppose,
My last stone slipped off my grip,
There you came, gave me support lest I trip,
Now I'm standing head high,
Because I have you held high.
Oh Emerald, what a rare gem you are!!!

Ode To the Stars

Let's count the stars instead of admiring the sky
Sing it's myth and share it's legend in spirits high
A swirl of gas from a cosmic mile
Yet you give infants reason to smile
your name on every kiddies rhyme
Twinkle twinkle my favorite line

the pentagon of the clouds everglowing soldiers
you fortell men's fate in zodiac
you over spend more lights than the lightening
and soften our hearts when you brighten
Like the nursery latern would have it
Twinkle twinkle little star

When the blazing sun is gone
your charming beauty we wait to come
A perfect guide at night
the natural pilot's street light
the spaceship's satellite
your song kids sing over and over
Twinkle twinkle what a wonder you are

Like a diamond in the sky
A gift the wealthiest wish to buy
your patience fades the sun away
While your diligence prepares the day
and if you dont come for us to sing today
We'll wait for your shine come another day.

Twinkle twinkle all the way

Who Am I

Who am I

I am He who uses the pen more often than a spoon
And feeds on digested rhymes
Regorgitated from my mind's bowel
Sometimes it spills over
But my hand is never far from the towel,
I mop while I pespire and start over
Never giving in to the end,
I omit the stops from every sentence intentionally so I can go on like a fountain flowing Freely

Who Am I

I am the imaginary ring around Jupiter
spinning words like particles of ice and dust
Mixed with cheer beauty and originality
transmitting written frequencies through expressing my thoughts
and making you see me like
I'm in front of you sharing a lecture
since there are no boundaries attached to my pen,
I continue meeting the different parts of me whenever I meditate and write.

Who am I

I am the one whose words Will outlive,
and still make u feel alive each time u read through,
I am constant energy
Translating personal experience into imaginary stories of cock and bull,
yet i continue attempting to share some truth
through this abstract language of poetry
A language that chose me unknowingly and made me an interpreter

Who am I

I am the green you get when you mix excess yellow with the blue
That shade of gold you get when the sun resides into darkness
and ascends into the Dawn's glory,
I am the poem that is abstractly direct and deep
because I write beyond limits of the regular mind
through meditation for several minutes.
I am the love u feel when you realize what you uniquely have

I am a writer, I am Sir D'Champ

The Beautiful Poison

More attractive than the pyramid of Giza,
Yet you reflect with the gaze of Medusa,

I found you in your lowest height,
You held my hands and i walked you out of the night,

At times you walk in with muddy feet,
I clean the mess and still you give me cold feet,

How can patience be defined without mentioning me,
Now everything you desire does not reflects me

You drove a spear through my back and left me half dead,
In a quick flash I have been fed with lies I said,

I stared at the dinning and saw your mask on the seat,
I swallowed hard and felt your venom in the heat,

I reached for the door then a bright light shone in,
All I could see was a stranger beckoning on you to move in,

In your deceitful smile you moved in,
with him pulling a casket behind with his name on it.

Wet and Wild

Let's get wet and wild,
Under the scorching heat of the sun,
Forgetting the stress of the day,
Let's cool off in our briefs,
Skipping the formalities,
Tossing a fist full of water on each other,

Let's get wet and wild,
Expelling the heat from within
Unwinding with a bottle or two,
Floating carelessly from tired strokes,
Wriggling to the sounds of loud music,
While wrapped in the embrace of wetness,

Let's get wet and wild,
Not minding the cold that comes after,
Let's get caught up in the heat of esctacy,
Splashing pleasures of wet droplets,
From our troubled feet and groping hands,
Restlessly from one pool end to the other.

I Can'T Breathe

I can't breathe
My ankles are shackled
I can't feel my feet,
My neck is manacled
The weight of your knee upon my neck,
Crushing my jugular, bursting veins
Tears of blood running down my cheeks,
As I pleaded for mercy, tapping out
But it wasn't enough to quench your thirst
The world is silent, racism pushing through
Its walls, we have become claustrophobic
Tearing through the roofs, windows and doors
To undo this Injustice served by the uniform

Self Healing

Like a fountain of gaseous magma,
My heart pours out grief daily,
This pain hits differently,
Crumbling the four walls of my heart,
I've bottled up this fumes unsuccessfully,
Believing grown men don't cry,
Now my eyes are saturated from within,
Drowning every courage I have gathered.

I'm quick to tears each time I try to speak,
I hold back the words and my heart sinks,
Like a small canoe in the stormy seas,
Navigating stubbornly against the tides,
Gulp after gulp, I'm swallowing my voice,
This salty water leaves my tongue afloat,
Mumbling gibberishly upon deaf ears,
With pitied eyes searching for the shore.

Settled on this island of vulnerability,
I'm scribbling out the words from my heart,
The words my mouth have failed to speak,
The words that have overcrowded my mind,
Freeing up my burdens expressing my pains
Searching for the light within my darkness,
Finding strength in my own weaknesses,
Swallowing the bitter pills of self healing.

On the Other Side

Dear Pops,

How does it feel on the other side?
Have you made friends or are u lonely?
Does it get dark at night or shines all thru?
Did you find the narrow path or saw the broad one?
Do they have calenders or mark anniversaries?
Do angels really have wings and heaven made of gold?

Pops, can you see us from up above?
Can you see how broken mum is?
The nights have been long and the day very cold,
We take turns to console her even if we also are broken inside,
Can you see how we have struggled on our own?
Time has failed to heal our hearts,
Nature has failed to abhor the vacuum.

We know we can't bring you back,
A million tears wouldn't change your mind ,
We have prayed and accepted our fate,
We will have to live through the pain even if it hurts, till it hurts no more.
We have fixed a date to lay you to eternal rest,
We pray you find peace on the other side
Rest easy pops till we meet to part no more.
