Death

Death is apart of life
It has no face
it has no age
young, old all the same

Man, woman, even young kids
right, wrong, early or late
Death is apart of life

Black, white, Latino, Hispanic
Death is apart of life
Rich man, poor man, even the middle man
Death is apart of life.

Till We Meet Again

Today was a hard day
Tears in my eyes
A pain in my heart

Till we meet again

Hoping for laughter
Praying for peace
Waiting for understanding

Till we meet again

I will keep watch
As i promise
Till we meet again

Love you to the moon
and back
Till we meet again.

Tested

Tested

Tested in the morning
Tested at noonday
Tested in evening
Tested all day long

Tested by the clothes she wear
Tested by the choices she makes
second guessing herself

Oh what a woman should do

Monday, maybe
Tuesday, okay
Wednesday, what to do

Thursday, Friday lets take a break
Saturday, yeah having a good day
Sunday praying for a better week.

Tested by the love they share
Tested, tested, tested.

Empty Nest

You carry them for nine months
You watch and help them grow
Infant,Toddler
young men, young woman
Shaping you for the world
This sin sick world

Empty Nest

No longer in elementary
Now in middle
Wow! almost a senior

Empty Nest

Now all grown
Out on your own
Tears in my eyes

Empty Nest

In Spite Of

In spite of my pain
In spite of my heart ache
In spite of my tears
In spite of my fears
In spite of the unknown
of this crazy world we live in.

I love you

In spite of the sleepless night
In spite of the disappointing days
In spite of my sickness

I still Love you.

Just As I Am

Just as I am

Just as I am
Just as I am oh Lord
Just as I am

Down on bending knee
Oh, Lord
Just as I am

Sickness got this old body
Can't see my way
Oh, Lord Just as I am

Heart is aching for love
Mind wandering what went wrong
What to do, just as I am

Good days, bad days
all alone
Just as I am

My Little Man

So small, yet so big
born during a rough time
of pain and sorrow.

Oh what joy he brings
on that cold November day.

With his little hands already
conformed to his last name traits.
With features just like his dad.

My little man makes me happy
when I was sad.
Just to think of him or see his
pictures puts a smile on my face.

Now my little man is three
already acting like he is twenty-three.

Missing You

Now so close to
the anniversary of your passing.
I miss you.
Are long talks on the phone.
The laughter we shared even the tears
Having so much in common,
our love for banana flavor candy.
Miss you much

Untitled

When your head starts to worry,
and your mind just can't rest
put your thoughts on paper,
and let God do the rest.
