How To Entice a Rose

Tame your wish to unfasten
the shut bud ‘til she’s willing!
Give her sweetest thoughts of spring.
Attract her, softly thrilling
with your words and compliments.

If the sprout of rose is closed
you need gentle kindheartedness.
Warm alluring breath of love
may touch cheek with such caress
that first petals open slow.

Now ensure her - and yourself –
that there is no other one
that deserves such attitude
under shining moon and sun
no one that compares to her.

But you have to say the truth
or you will feel painful thorn.
If you do, you’ll see delight
Beautiful as dusk and dawn
when the rose unlocks herself.

Ensnare the ears with kindness,
enmesh with care her splendor.
Cautions stroke her fears away!
Then may your fingers tender
detach the outer casing.

Coat the rose with water drops
from your lips – fresh summerkiss
over body, mind and soul.
Feel with beating heart the bliss
when the trembling bud unclench’s.

Shivering the petals spread
ample to receive delight.
Open are the calyx’s thighs
that entangled day and night
the straight erected carpel.

The Pearl of Friendship

At the beach of desperation
On the shore to endless sea
Stood a helpless dreaming creature
Searching in the sky was he

Looked with blind eyes full of sorrow
As a man with tears must be
To a falling shooting starlight
That felt down to waving sea

But when star and ocean contacted
Colorful the night became
amazing was the newborn fairy
away from any knowledge’s frame

Unbelieving this new marvel
spoke the fool with stumbling words
tried to please the laughing pixie
but his lips were hold with cords

If there was one wish for free
He would like to stay for ever
With this kind and pleasant vision
Of a world he dreamed of never

No! For bad luck sank the starlight
Down to dark seas frosting ground
As a mermaid swam the fairy
And he lost what he had found.

But far away from reaching hands
The light embedded in a shell
And transformed to pearls of friendship
Known - by everybody well.

Do not try to cage a fairy
For she just leaves you for good
And will show her pleasant closeness
More than expect any should.

The Life of a Phoenix

Far beyond the oceans deep,
in an unknown land
lived the loveliness’ own bird,
dear like golden sand.
Feathers made of rainbow light
well-bred was her will,
for the sad she gave her tears
healing dead and ill.

Aye - she was beloved, but …
then she was betrayed!
Feathers felt in mans fume out;
help is always late.
Heart broke.
Her lovely spirit darkened
like a cloud in spring
when her life was broken down
like a golden ring.

With wings of leather suffering
she was found again.
One more time she had to face
love - and the pain then.
Heart broke as crystal splitters.
Her eyes transformed to red.
scales suit skins surface
fire was her breath -
she became a dragon.

Deep inside her entity
still the phoenix lives.
Loves the music, loves the joy
loves whoever gives
her the love and kindness back
that she does deserve
And in friendships fire blaze
she will face rebirth.

The Acquiescence

Am I not man to stand the pain?
Open up the gates of torture!
Endless flames may burn my flesh,
may in my soul be a real scorcher!
I will endure the hurting ache!
So tear away the scurf of scars
- unhealed deep wounds in my own heart
engraved like deadly memoirs.

Oh like a fool I longed to see
what couldn’t last, as wise man says.
I remember all the afflict
on which long years oblivion lays.
I stand and open my arms wide
to feel the power of nightmare.
Come thunderbolt of madness, come!
Embrace me horror, hug me scare!

Dignity and Infraction

I dip the tip of quill
deep in my hearts inkpot
and cross my name with blood
out the record I got.
My name will not be found
in the book of passion.

I wish I could erase
my desires madness.
But how forget the past
if remaining sadness
still painful hurts my soul?
Rainbows turn to ashen.

The open gates to dreams
tempting and forbidden
are with repentance closed.
I will keep them hidden,
ask pardon for my flaw,
fighting my dispassion.

Flame In Despair

A star in the night
Can shine as bright
As the sun

A light for the ill
that pay their bill
till live ‘s done

This star has a heart
Of golden art
Full of love

The dark in the deep
Will rest and sleep
Like a dove

When the star stands out
Calm - not aloud
Shows its might

The dim is not healed
But it is sealed
In the light

Flight of Steps

Sinister is the staircase -
the light switch out of reach.
How could my eye find way,
differ honor and breach?

Head dashed against the walls
and lurching I lost course.
Lead these stairs up or down?
Mind like an empty bourse.

Sweet voices call my name
from heaven and from hell
But how do they vary?
Both sound so tempting well.

I will regret my step
wherever I will go:
This step the fall or raise
of my own heart will show.

Confused and blind I seize
the stairway of my life.
Doubts and fears and worries
come only to be rife.

Ere my legs turned jelly
my last cry was for help.
I lost my way and light -
Lord, hear my desperate yelp!

Fall

Come autumn rain, come wind of north!
Blow your darkness forth and forth –
I defy thee with my own strength
I fight against thy powers length!

Hail on me sleet, hail down your ice!
Smash down this human twice or thrice –
I will resist against your try
No matter how your storm may cry!

Embrace me night, embrace me cold
like arms of death and fog on wold –
oppose I can with my death heart
ward off the cold and lethal dart.

No storm is like dark feelings gale;
no hail can hurt like loving’s flail;
no cold can kill as amor’s arrow -
compared with love is fall a sparrow.

Spring Weather

The snow falls late this year in May.
When burdened roses break in parts
I hear the hound of sadness bark
against the courage of all men.

All left and all alone I stay
to see the sundown in all hearts.
By foggy twilight feelings dark
and never can be light again.

Through empty abscond is a way.
There hunters chase with bows and darts
to kill a mocking bird - the lark
(for sunrise never comes again).

Footprints of time, called night and day,
will lead me to the nightmares mart:
The road to lonelinesses park
where hope is lost and bare all men.

Summertime

Over pools the gnats are dancing
in the summer suns romancing
heart out burning heat – what ever
could a sick mans lonesome fever
cool and take away the sorrow
of an even worst tomorrow

In desperate hours time goes by
alone I stand don’t ask me why
the nights are short and days too long
when sad thoughts grow I am not strong
not strong enough to feel the bright
too weak to bear distressing might

Too short is night to hold away
the nightmares they release their lair
and come to daylight come to live
search me a shelter where to dive
is safe from frightening feelings face
find me a hide a peaceful place
