Nigel Chirwa Poem
In the end my words are just that
Words.
Syllables combined to articulate, to express
Strands of ink to paper
Empty they are emotion, in passion
And yet, to my shame
Have I in words express
My heart, my soul
Laid plain on white sheets of paper
For all the world to gaze to upon
For you to see
But, never never was such my luck
Never did your gaze settle upon me
Never was your heart mine to keep

Nigel Chirwa Poem
The road is long, the distance too great
I struggle alone in this distant path
I let pride guide me-a most vicious evil!
Words were spoken and hearts were broken
Now all to my name is but a bag of shame
I was wrong-God I was wrong
To admit to fault-all for nought!
Now, bright as day
No sooner did I pay
For the crime of passion, holds me at ransome!
I've made my bad, that resolves to be laid
My credit's due
For my lover's sue
She pains me whole and yet I...
I love her more

Nigel Chirwa Poem
Marvel at man's creation
But do so at your own discretion
For men is not without fault
And his appraisal, yourself shall mold
He is the fall to many a things
And to countless felony is he complicit
But fret not, fear thou be
He is not all without saving grace
After all...he shall be he's own undoing

Nigel Chirwa Poem
T'was golden
T'was white
T'was beauteous bright
A squickle
A squeak
All sounding so meek
Up in the mountain top
With dew hanging like ropes
As winter hangs about
Freezing all their snouts
But rejoice dear rodents
For it is morning once again
And with golden summer rays
You can smile once again
