A Rose I Never Got

In the morning, I awake with a thought,
A thought about a rose I never got.

Its beauty, oh do I reminisce about.
And the thought ever grows like roots sprout.

Even in the embrace of my flower, do I miss it.

I’ve tried brushing the thought out my heart and mind,
But upon site of it, my heart rushes as do the wind.

From its memories have I failed to conceal,
I know, forever haunting me, this thought will.

Upon thought, my feelings fail to jump bail.
I got no option but to put these feelings to veil.

My Worry Easer

The day has elapsed and turned into night.
Day worries creeping, how can I put them out of sight?

With family I seat but my worrying thoughts, with them, I cannot highlight.
But before I sleep, their smiles feel me with feelings of delight.

With a smile, I close my eyes and sleep,
Bearing thoughts of good times as they are mine to keep,
And like a new born baby, I have a good night sleep.

Dawn at sight, I awake,
Their smiles vividly flashback,
My worrying thoughts completely suppressed,
And by this, my heart is relieved.

Looking forward to another new day to treasure,
Knowing full well, I’ve got my worry easer.

Pain of Infidelity

Infidelity, what great pain it exacts on a partner.
Death becomes an inevitable contemplation that in your mind it becomes the governor.

The feeling just! Oh man know not this soul daunting horror,
Oh dear maiden mercy pay a warm kind visit to the bearer!

Beyond measure and measure unknown, it hurts.
How much ail it poses on the mind and torture on the heart,
Its strokes pats not the fragile heart.

Feels like part of your soul is ripped off.
Hurts massively beyond pain itself.

The bible holds marriage in high regard;
That divorce to it is a taboo begad.
Except! When infidelity is begat.

Peace Be Still

Have you ever been in a situation so dark?
Crying out but help, on you, turn its back.
Spirit crushed, its light turned pitch black

And pain deepens like hell, on you, is bore,
A moment where relief is all you crave for.
But its absence is all that seems to grow,
That death is now the only thing you adore.

Although Paul says:
“Bear ye one another’s burden,”
Man’s help to you seems forbidden.
And unbearable pain can’t seem to deaden.

Remember God says:
“Come unto me all you that weary and are heavy laden”
And upon the lord, thou cast thy burden,

That He may give you rest.
And in Him, it all becomes best.
As He says, “PEACE BE STILL.

Lover's Absence

When not with whom you’re in love,
Sadness shuns not from coming along.
And sad hours seem long,
As you don’t have that which, having, makes them short,
And brings happy times to lot.

Of them your mind is drawn to think,
In good old memories, with them, your mind sinks.
And about them, you can’t seem to forget to think.

In “better half’s” absence;
Eyes weep at good heart’s oppression.
But then, “such is love’s transgression.”

A Thorny Rose

Amid day, beautiful was the rose I saw.

Among the flowers, it lay into my garden stole.

And in the evening, when the night had veiled the pole,
Its beauty shone bright, ever than could the snow.

And my desire for it being as green as emerald,
My heart sought to have it in my own abode.

Alas! Did I not know of its keen thorns,
Which pierced my body's fragile organs,
And left me with scars unlike ever known
