fate controls it all
he's the top notch dealer
and the cards are in his hands
he smiles when you struggle
he laughs when you cry
he's the winner of all games and
he knows he cant be beat
he plays you, and tricks you
he's number one and he knows it
he knows that he controls it
he plays all games and he controls the out come
he plays a game
and he plays it to win
he's at the top
when he's done with you he trows in his cards and its
always a full house
then your time is up
and he's won that game
can't beat him he's always two steps ahead
fate controls it all
fate rules it all
he plays a game
and the name of the game is
life

all sin within is Gods opponent
old habits, mans ancient component
most no longer mine
though towards some i still incline
about me the bickering of demons writhes
reminding me insistantly of Satans' tithes
it's all about me, they say, i am a miracle to be
yet i know better, you see, for i can see
pride is a sin, free for now, yet i can count the cost
a lifetime isn't long enough to make back what i've lost
yet through Jesus i've only some years to give to tears
and an eternity to bask in the presence of Heavely peers
i am within sight, almost, of God now
within the Presence today, you ask how?
Jesus spent thirty-some years painfully living
like us, to die too, but with redemption for the giving
miracles He does for us, and then, for people He knew
and for enemies and strangers, too
He made them healed and new
and what service did these luicky souls do?
believed, by God, and i can do that, too
amid raised eyebrows, i am raised
and i trows, and am amazed
