Never Can
As you can never give a promise if you have never lied,
Can never live if you've never wised to die,
Never love if you have haven't hate,
One thing you can do is with for the good in all....

The Pull
Little
Less than fly—
On skin, feathers pine;
To be up, up over the miles.

(I know that it’s all in my head.)

Wised, still cold—
I nip and twist
In the green—
Cannot lift; I have feathers,
But not my wings....

Nothing As Nought
I live within the time
from words thought till said
Inexperienced from experience
Ever surprised
Unwised by the wised
Liars first lie
Looking for enough
Dying as i lived
You never speak the words
As they sound within my head
Living as if dead
Dying within the words
from time said to thought
Nothing as nought...

Bob Dylan
Born to sing to write to share
Open arms give courage no despair
Beautiful lyrics he shares with us all

Dance with joy when his words start to flow
Yearning for peace in this dark time
Listen carefully to music and rhyme
A man so young raised his voice
Nations wised up we sang we rejoiced

Premium Member Rude Al
There once lived a plain, stout gal named Val
She was smittened by a guy called Al
              He was a bit rude
              Saw her as a dude
Val wised up, moved on with best mate

Should I Go Or Should I Stay
You treated me this way since
day three of our marriage

At first I thought it was me
causing the misery
I wised up and found
you were a man from Hades

I kept our home as best I could
you never even tried
after years of marriage
and two many blue-black eyes
I left....

Not soon enough
when denials lead the way
that’s what made me stay
too complex
a diet of denial never works......

Premium Member Switching Tracks
Leading without any direction, a train without tracks
Advice I should really take myself, try more to relax
Squeeze every second possible but not in such a hurry
The worst thing to do is to be the center of my worry
There are too many days I lived out to a bare minimum
Not enough happened without any ways of reliving them
Now say I wised up and thought a little farther ahead
Following only me and never allowing myself to be led...

Just To Catch You Up
Just to catch you up
On someone you once knew,
That guy made you believe
The problem was all you.

He knew that while on eggshells
You would tread gingerly.
You'd be forced to read into
Nonsense you couldn't see.

For love had left you blinded,
Thinking 'twas what you'd done,
And so he played the martyr,
That's how the table spun.

That guy, he wised up late,
Looks out now at how far
Sickness, pride and ego
Can drive two hearts apart....
