Still falling without a sound.

Above, limbs are bare.
Coldest air they'll share.
They'll stay that way until spring.
Fighting with the cold,

When the birds begin to sing.

And an orb the color of a pearl
For us to admire.

God Hung in our sky
Clouds to add to our colorful world
Which I aspire
To understand how God has each in its own whorl.

Backlit as virgin lovers

The castle walls dare not belay
the upward loft with daunting gray 
for on fragile wings in autumn damp

Jagged fragments of a puerile chorus compose my fledgling thoughts.
Each shrill shard impales my soul with piercing slivers of childish inflections.
     Looped refrains of callow mantras whorl my mind in endless rounds.

                                      my inner children...
