splattering raindrops
hucksters peddling their wares

Truly named Acme
We fed cardboard sheets
into a machine in steady flow
corrugated boxes the result
boxes to be filled with wares
endless capitalism perpetuated
An old crone who was living in Moffett
Sold all her household wares for a profit
She was simply bold,
[At least I am told],
To stash all the money in her soffit.
Serenely the breeze blows past
Gently she inhales to consume it all
Stirred by sounds so isolate
She strains to hear the wind call
Gathering her wares she she walks on
Virtuous lilies
Merriest bluebells
Fragrant roses
All these she sells
Approaching
each passing car
Displaying her wares
Wishing on a star
Economic curve
Sliding down
Mushroom-like umbrellas
Springing up
Somewhat blocking the street
Drawing crowds
To buy the cheapest
Goods and wares
Without license or tax
Poet on a Pony,
Traveling up these perilous
winding paths,
To deliver her precious wares
To a sick friend...
Who so anxiously enjoys
her talent and wisdom
Hey, the Pony Express LIves!!!
Tough broads with long skirts moving out west,
circling wagons never getting any rest,
now I'm on tv,
wrangling up recipes,
plus sell house wares that are simply the best!

Putrefying proteins,
emanated rancid airs,
he had this excretion,
and other unwanted,
wares,
quite spread out on table,
as if he was narrating,
a known tale,
of his dirty inside,
as a fable.
After all these many years, I've still got much hair
Must thank Mom and Dad for bequeathing my share
Of gorgeous white locks
It totally rocks
Ladies clamour to check out my other wares
After all these many years, I've still got much hair
Must thank Mom and Dad for bequeathing my share
Of gorgeous white locks
It totally rocks
Ladies clamour to check out my other wares
A band of gold is all she wears--
no need for diamonds or fancy wares.
Simple, yes, but rich with grace--
for when it slipped upon her hand,
two hearts found their sacred place.

Flowers, buds, budding trees.
Spring is coming wait and see.
There is fragrance in the air.
Mother Nature shows her wares.
Dressed in pink, purple, yellow, blue.
It's time for spring to show it's hue.
~ Tree-lined Streets ~
Tree-lined streets
display their wares
brilliant colors everywhere...
I stop my car to stare
at a somber, stately oak
whose branches nearly bare --
her fallen leaves reminders of
warm summer days we shared
Bawling, blubbering
yowling, howling
crying for a day...
Weeping, wailing, whimpering
sympathy for pay
Relatives nonexistent?
No one left to care?
Snivels, sobs, tears to shed
sorrowful sordid wares
ghoulishly, greedily
auctioning
despair
Synthesis of minerals
dug up from mother earth
Combine with metals rare
that promise to give birth
to headlines seldom seen
for scientific stars…
jaded artists hawk their wares
wistful buyers beware
Toilet paper with teddy bears!
Bought by rich women with other wares.
Sold initially at world's fairs.
Amid joyous laughter in the airs.
Some people looked with ridiculous stares.
Such nonsense found at world's fairs!
Soon they will be coloring apples and pears
A slave to his passions
His cravings, longings
In the panties of little girls.
His daughters’ mates
He gathers, mates
Discard like uses wares.
He’s here, there, everywhere
About to tear
Another girl, I fear!
Hunt him down!
Bring him down!
Save the belles of our town!
Invisible opportunity stairs
Flight fate fashioned
Masked mental wares.
Past existential roots
Accrue manipulative motif
Extant present imputes.
Futuristic intents allure
Remote eternal sanguinity
Time track obscure.
Carried by the sights and smells, he waxed quixotic,
with sounds of vendors hawking wares, quite hypnotic,
a smorgasbord from mundane to the exotic,
yet all the while, undertones verged on chaotic.

An Awit: 12a:12a:12a:12a, as a single sentence narrative
~ Ants are scurrying so very very busy;
Heading to and fro;
Racing backwards and forwards;
Walking racing running towards;
Working, gathering, their wares;
Searching for something’s them ants?~

Grook Written words by James Edward Lee Sr. 2021©
When Simple Simon met the pieman going to the fair,
He thought the guy an easy mark he could con out of his wares.
But the pieman glared at him and hissed,
"Bub, I ain't no danged pie-lanthropist!
Admit I must, you've got some crust,
But show me dough and then my wares I'll share."

I'm off to the market
I'm off to display my wares
On this canvas of lines
I'll use my pen to stand my tent
Will you come and patronize me
I'm off to the theatre
to purely re-construct
their great ability in the art
their drama I've put to stanza
you may come and watch me play you.
Magenta buds wait their turn on birch trees stately
while cedars' spines soar skyward so straightly
Barren branches of oaks sans customary green
yet shiver while down low tulips blossom and preen
Spring shows off her wares at varying stages
