Rode Versus Waded
Though most Americans praise it
Donald Trump has vowed to raze it
Why leave it to fate
When we can just mate
And let Republicans raise it?...

I have seen them all and embarked on none,
I've waded at the mall and skated in the mud,
there is some beast that I may call-
he will answer when I can be understood....

Misinterpretation
I misinterpreted
another poem today
I waded in with
my high black
bootsand put
my back into it
I worked up
quite a sweat
Exhausted I
departed
satisfied
but

And the Water Cried
The cool smack of ocean wind resounded across my unhinged jaw.
I swallowed the gust and tasted the salt of the water.
It mixed well with my bitter tears.
I cried out as I waded deeper.
The sea wept for me....

Free of Blame
In the shoals of the lake
a deeper truth was buried
It waded ashore
when your memory was parched
Irrigating a message
long ago forgotten
Returning your forgiveness
—washed free of blame

Wrong Doings of Trump
Wrong Doings of Trump
Trump's wrong doings are vastly accumulating,
And results of each one has been humiliating;
Overhead waded;
Also, self-degraded;
Commit more corruption he is contemplating.

If Ever There Was a Day
If ever there was a day so perfect that it made your heart sing
when the warm intermittent breeze
waded through your senses and awakened your soul,
that would be the day that spring's eternal beauty
gifted you paradise on earth;...

Never Again
When 6 million Jews died
You said never again
Yet it happened again, again and again
The genocide in Rwanda
You watched
Ethnic cleansing in Bosnia
You waited
Till the worst was over
Then slowly waded in
Now Rohingya and you close your eyes
Do you remember you said never again?...

Diosa
when i first
met her
she was
walking
on water
but not being
bothered by
this because
i had looked
into her eyes
as deep as they
were at first i
waded in and
then up to my
chin eventually
finding myself on
an island and off
into the morning's
mirage i look to
see if she
is walking
on water
to find
me...

Night Sea
He waded through the salty water…
The constant breeze pulled in the waves…
The full moons light danced upon the endless sea…
In the nights beauty he was bathed…
Although his heart and mind was troubled,
This scene always calmed his soul…
He let all his darkness drift out with the tide….
With his mind void, he causally strolled…....

Oh My Darling
The sun rubbed our skin
As if mother nature was caressing our arms and legs
We waded through the water
Acting like the children we once were,
Sometimes,
you could almost tell that it was so warm
That the sun was making an invisible blanket around us.
I would've loved to stay with you,
just a moment more,
for one last kiss,
one last touch,
before you left...

Dreaming Home
DREAMING HOME…
In cosmic dreams,
I’ve waded the Nile
In golden Nubian sunsets;
Felt the warm breath
Of Sahara breeze
Kiss my cheeks;
Made my bed in tall savanna grass
And cooled my soul
In rain forest dew;
I’ve crouched beneath Gold Coast palms:
A palm wine drunkard…
Arms flung wide;
My soul
Has soared
Atop Uhuru Peak:
Yes,
I too,
Dream of Africa....

Houston
Houston
I wonder if the summer rain was warm
that poured like Pharaoh’s plagues upon the town
as people waded from their homes in swarms
and small craft was the mode to move around.
Memories lost by tempest's hurt and harm
float pass as muddy waters flood the ground.
The summer rain may be a hurricane,
a wicked, wind song made in sad refrain.

And That Was When Part 7
And That Was When Part 7
Then the new ones set out on the sea,
To learn their separate lessons
The sphere of your companions
Contracted, as one by one
They waded into the approaching shore
Until at last all that was left
Were the closest Loves,
Or perhaps you were even alone.
And that was when
Day by Day
The Light grew brighter,
Colder.
Things you knew
Long before speech
Fell back into place....

Horse Named Pride
I rode high up in the saddle,
on a prancing horse known as Pride.
Outside beaming with confidence,
but empty and shaken inside.
An old wise man once told me,
it was a long time ago.
You have to walk a dusty trail,
before you're white as snow.
Waded out in the muddy waters,
I got down deep to save my soul.
Left my high horse in the pasture,
leaving Pride has made me whole.

Big Fish
With my rod and reel I baited my hook
Waded into the water and part took
Cast my line, got a bite
Found myself in a fight

Alone It Dreams
Alone it dreams
The inner bay where the water is shallow
I rolled up my trousers leg and waded out to see
the small polished stones
With sunlight and the clear sea the stones had
the appearance of diamonds to kill for.
I took up a few but in my hands, they quickly lost their
lustre; threw them back, my feet was cold it was not
yet summer when the inner bay would be full of bathers
who wished the beach was sandy....

Me and God Are Related and More
Me and God Are Related
There must be way this can be translated;
May have waited for a while and hesitated;
Did take chance;
Knew in advance,
You can consider God and I closely related.

My Life Had Been Barricaded
While I waded and deal we did was shaded,
Sins came down on me and had cascaded;
Then saw sturgeon
That did burgeon;
Can be seen in my hair that is badly braided.

The Stars Reflection
He sat there on the edge
of the rocks above the shore
lost there in his thoughts
like many times before
he noticed how the water
seemed to glow with life
and for a couple moments he
forgot about his strife
the light came from the moon
high up in the sky
and he longed to be among the stars
but had no wings to fly
so he climbed down from the rocks
and waded past the shore
he drifted away on the stars reflection
with a heavy heart no more
