When Perils Warned Me
I looked back, all smiles,
At my perils trailing miles,
‘Too early, dear mate’,
They said, ‘you had better wait,

Heavenly Treasures
He is our mighty foe
from days long ago
triumphing in our woes

Pursuing us with a fierce hate
secretly lying in wait
always ready to change our fate

We are not his equal
letting our guard down could be lethal
opening us up to all kinds of evil

But, we do not have to fight alone
God's grace we can call our own
Jesus died, our sins he did atone

So, we should take measure
giving up our earthly pleasures
storing up our heavenly treasures

Or keep spending hard-to-stay wad
And telling people we once it had....
