Captured ~ (A Septolet)
Rain drops
Hypnotic
He sulks
fireside.

The cradle rocks
soothing innocence
woman's perfect snare....

Egoist
One who is full
of himself,
as fragile as crystal ball
on a shelf,

who sulks in resentful
vain defense
against the slightest
imagined offense,

and shines or dims
or shatters
depending on the tricks
of flatterers....

The Cheery Earth and the Lonely Moon
The moon sulks and envys
when earths stomach is filled habitually
to be garnish in wintry season
listening to carols from birds to wild beast and godly person
the earth feel cheery and merry
while the moon feels miserable and lonely....

Fragile Ego
self, be not overly full of yourself,
as fragile as crystal in a glass shelf,

             which, at the slightest imagined offense,
             recoils, sulks in resentful, vain defense

of your self-image that easily shatters,
so effortlessly tricked by flatterers....

My Computer
My Computer lets me down.
It switches off.
No Windows or fat 32.
It sulks with nothing to do.

Hundreds of files appear every day.
I delete all I may.
They copy themselves.
Soon no space will be left.
Such a pest.

No virus have I.
What can be the cause?
Help me, someone.
Or I die....

My muse has just vanished have you seen her? She’s so darn fickle one minute she’s active and a torrent of words flow then turns moody and won’t conform, retreating into herself, she sulks like a temperamental teenager Writing Challenge 2- April 2019- Its All About 10 - Poetry Contest Sponsored by Dear Heart 4/25/19

The Birthplace of Tornadoes
Storms are brazen, often rude,
Lighting the sky with invectives
Of white-blue light terrible.

The rains carp the submissive
Ground wearing it so slowly
Down into curves, mud.

The thunder stomps through
Heaven’s empty rooms above.
It knows the children tremble

Beneath, conjuring punishments
Through tall silken crowns
Where venomous rodents erupt.

In boredom, the storm sulks
Away.

In time,
The rodents and children trade places....

Reasons For My Love
I love the way she wears the sun
In her hair; and the way the rain
Beads on her delicate shoulders;
I love when her eyelids flutter
In early morning springtime breeze;
I love the way she pouts and sulks
When things don’t seem to go her way;
I love it when she feigns anger
That’s soon betrayed by a smile;
I love the look of guiltiness
On her face after we make love;
I love her childlike naiveté;
Her occasional whininess
And vagaries that define her....

An Angel of Love
An angel of love carries a deed
This must in turn return in heed
It a powerful spell that withers and dies
Not unknown too well within hearts lie
What feeling we feel as though we have come undone
It feels somewhat real as it sulks in the sun
Which day we have spent counting the hours
While the seasons pass its lovely powers
In dread we have seen what we suit
When an angel of love begins pursuit
What seraph?
What meaning of love
An angel of love
Will come from above…...
