Dominatrix of silence
leather clad temptress
enchaining the moment
in bondage allured
Her fear but a prison
of far away soundings
and seraphic voices
—the future insures
(Dreamsleep: August, 2023)
Loud
Explosive soundings
Environmental vibration eradicate motion
Bombarded sensory thee volumed
Dropped focused turn down
Ribbed quiet
Silence

rested
en repose,
absorbing
change,
strengthened
by living
by ideas
by contrasts
by soundings:
slight
impressions
magnify,
and glow
to satisfy
my
muse
again
Soundings' most heartfelt streamlet
That voiced of you.
For its spell's long- held impact
Dreams flow into!
Beneath its own coverlet
Of a soft mist
Can one conceive, plashed twilights
On a late jaunt
What, a sleep-sent dell, to haunt
Must so persist.
So many feelings
Why do they follow?
Why can't I shake them?
Make me feel hollow.
Where do they come from ?
They come from the storm.
I hear the soundings
Of shameful surroundings
What did I do now?
I do not remember
So many feelings
Why do they follow?
Come make them leave me
Leave me alone.
Trapped in between the lyric
and music
Wandering in a rhythm
of lost expectation
Blaming each note still unplayed
and unwritten
The echoes distend
in a moment’s undoing
Hearing a chorus
when no choir is present
Voices imagined
to sing my sequester
Wandering aimless
through scores of abandon
Harmony denied me
—nightmarish and deafening
(Dreamsleep: May, 2023)
