I recall my poor uncle Arthur
sitting on the stoop drinking vodka.
Aunt Martha pulled a shiv;
said he just couldn’t live,
then she boiled his cirrhotic liver

Stewed in a corner,
Eattin' some kind of crud all day,
Over came Noodles The Shiv,
Said, "Your food and money you better give!"
Jack yelled, "No Way!!"
He stood up in defiance
And got the merest glance..
As "Noodles" shived him in the gut...
Goes to show you,
That Jack was a friggen' nut.

my heart has ridden

seems dim at first
but light preceding

step into swamp of sorrows
blight
swimming through agony
with the temptation to
end the suffering

and drown in sorrow
