The Life After Christmas

My christmas tree is dying
Its pines scramble for life
The hoover smiles
Like the cat that got the cream

The whole house lays in wait
Somehow a sense of denial is uniform code
We know they are used
To fuel our need to escape

Everything feels too positive
But life isn't like that
I know whats coming
Its the Life After Christmas...

It Is Spring!

It Is Spring!

Every spring eggs appear in yards; it is EASTER!
Children fill baskets and eat chocolate BUNNIES.
God, through life and nature, shows His LOVE.
The first buds on sleepy trees join the CELEBRATING
New life begins, physical and spiritual; it is SPRING!
