LAST DAY BLUES
IS A HEARTACE TO FEW
WITH ALL THE MEMORIES WE SHARED
AND ALL THE TIMES WE SHOWED EACH OTHER
LOVE AND CARE
LAST DAY BLUES
IS A HEARTACHW TO A FEW
FOR SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE
MISSING YOU
Form:
A KID WISHED FOR SCHOOLDAY
(A TANKA-DUO MESSAGE)
Fun snow day fell today:-
All of the schools had to close down
For home school snow day:-
Happy kids had so much fun:
Their monitors had meltdowns:-
What a good snow day!
Jesus had to walk the waters!:
Monitors, the snow:-
The kids were home, safe and sound:
Monitors’ eyes watching snow:-
I lust for knowledge,
My day will come,
Bachelors,
Masters,
PhD maybe,
My day will come,
I believe it,
No faith placed in me,
But from me indeed,
My strength is my rock,
I will follow through,
The language of life,
I know it well,
It is my spell,
You will understand,
The day I receive that third diploma,
My doctorate in English Literature,
That will be the day of true destiny.
Even though many my days are numbered;
the forever setting sun.
And with the number of days at hand,
my imagination is on the run.
It creeps about day in and day out;
eternal bliss of envy and sight.
It screams aloud about my dorm,
one more number this night.
For as finals draw near;
I get less and less sleep.
And as the sun starts to rise,
I hope these lessons will seep.
Washed my face
Curled my hair
Doesn’t make much difference
You’ll still stare.
Cleaned my shoes
Best dress on
Want to make friends
But you just make fun.
Four years old
First day at school
I still remember
You were so cruel.
Carried on
till the day I left
Made life hell
Always felt bereft.
Made me question
Made me strong
Why are people’s
Views so wrong?
So teach your children
To be kind
Be good in their hearts
And colour blind.
