field has snagged cousin
animals settle
listening to her song

Indian warrior painted red
with fringe of feathers
on your head
knotted in the crimson thread
of time

 I see you running with the moon
across savannahs
wild in bloom
to chase a day that ends to soon
to save you

I see you string a silver bow
to stalk the phantom 
buffalo
to be one with the grass
and the winds that blow 
you on

  but the moon has set
and the wind is still
and there are no buffalo
to kill
and you can't go back
and you never will
go home....
