A guy just seeking a tan
Went out all wrapped in Saran
A psychiatrist near
Said your case is quite clear
I see your nuts crazy man...

Something special for my love
Something for a Halloween treat
Ten rolls of Saran Wrap real neat
See through costume slowly greet
Greet him at the backdoor my dove
Scared him to death.
RIP...

Gray Wool
hoped for
white down
but it's
saran wrap
settling dust
soak staining
weathered wood
laquering streets
warming bars

see-your-breath
morning...

Guilty As Wrapped
March 15,2016

Cellophane Soul
She seemed somewhat sad
So she slid
Semi-comatose...
...Cellophane Soul screams
Saran-wrapped
Such subtle sorrow
Semi-transparent
Sweet, still sleep
She succumbs slowly
Sad Cellophane Soul
Silent screams
Suddenly strangled
Suicide succeeds
Suffering
Cellophane Soul soars

and rescuing me
I just have three words
to say
I love you
Saran hae
and in a million other languages
and will love you
until the end of time

Swan Song
His skin was like loose Saran wrap
that no amount of topical
cream could smooth away its wrinkles.
His skeletal bones creaked, muffled
by an old squeaking rocking chair
he gently, rhythmically rocked
to singsong poetry he wrote
nearly fifty odd years ago.
Each iambus spoken aloud
curiously matched his rocking:
the short syllables went backward
the longer ones ever forward.
Suddenly his recital stopped
and the chair went still and silent....
