Rued
In life he had lots of rued
That put him in a very bad mood
He hated others
Even his own brothers
It caused his life to be screwed...

Bad Morning,Good Morning
I got up late
and felt so tired;
I rued the day
that I'd been hired.

But all was well:
"Day off," I said,
and laughing loud,
returned to bed...

for Sara's 'Morning' contest...

Premium Member Fishy End
He rued turning coward getting older, ate fish for dinner to become bolder. To get his own supply fishing he thought he’d try, drowned in rough river hit by a boulder.

Brawl
Blazing flames of wild rage
   burning heart like a coal.
Bold abusive curses
      boiling blood like diesel.
Blatant hot arguments
   broiling brains into fumes.
Brawl ends with rued ashes!

Oversensitive To a Snail
My loss, not to notice
With whom coexist I.
My shame, not to think twice
On these fellow creatures
With their cringing natures.

Looked down of their maker
And my accuser-God!
In that tread space, number
Invites too night's lone view.
Love's rued; Life's in review....

Naive Guillotine

I once knew a poet named Balveen
Whose heart was not a touchscreen
Confused when she read some barbs
Until she was shot by shards
She rued at their naive guillotine

The children saw the glory and the fame
The high-wire acts of aerial bravery
Adults could see the hang-dog looks and shame
We knew the truth, performers' misery

Behind the scenes they rued the life they led
   Uneducated, soulless, barren bred
The endless road, no place to call a home
The circus over, once again alone...

A woman desperate for fame
Who only had herself to blame
Decided to wed
A stranger named Ted
Which was an action quite lame.

A month after each said, “I do.”
They each called the other a fool.
Each yelled, “I don’t.”
“Stay with you, I won’t."
Their wedding was a day they both rued....

Wedding Bin Blues
We've got the wedding bin blues,
Reception Centres should have been sued,
Plastic chicken and phony food,
"Why did you marry me?" we rued,
This is the first wives' club,
Half were in the pudding club,
The orange appliances survived,
Half the exes aren't alive,
Reception Centres should have been sued,
We've got the wedding bin blues!!...

Sneakered
In Air Jorden’s he strode proud,
with name-brands he stood
apart.

In closets
sneakers walked
not far from their boxes.

Heel to toe stock grew

Well known on eBay,
to barter, trade and pay
he paved the way

Fake stuff,
imitations led to
litigation
financial gloom.

Nike rued the day
his wife
put down her foot
gave him what for,

then ran away

in cut-price
              footwear....

Move
Move and move,
Move in a amble and in rush,
Hurry up and move,
Running, walking and in motion,
That’s all that they had the notion,
Wait and pause,
Have you thought?
What you are rushing about,
Is it because the next door you see is moving,
That you also want to move,
Remember the times you rushed,
And simply ended in a bush,
And getting nothing rued the fact,
Now think well before you move,
If at all you have to....

Is there anything of
unappreciated significance
that is used more than I ?
I've got to be the "where's waldo"
of precocious punctuation!
piled atop baby j's and baby i's
balanced under interrogatory swirls ?
and exclamatory lines !
and others of my kind : ; !
Also, laid down with more of the same ...
Accountants and mathematicians
have rued my misplacement,
yet though I'm remarkably plain,
the simple truth is, when I say it's done,
it's done......PERIOD!...

Pile File
Work was there,
All lined up and piling,
I saw the pile,
And simply began to file,
Thought would do it later,
Though full was my platter,
Tomorrow came and more was loaded,
My courage now gave up,
As I nibbled a little work at around sup,
Next day more was there,
And I lost scruples and turned hay wire,
Now I could not even sort the pile,
Not to talk about getting it out,
The moment I looked at it,
My stomach turned and rose the bile,
I rued the day,
When I had begun to file....
