Once I thought
the 'Generation Gap'
was a pile of crap
Yet today
I think it's here
to stay...
The lawn lies layer with leaves
like a pile of crisp nachos
covered with cherry tomato salsa
waiting for the shower of cream.
Blue eyes,
laughing,
hands;
unkindly the memories pile together.
Severs of the heart shied away
kissing at their enclosure.
The dishes pile in the sink
proof of my good meal
I chopped and stirred and now I think
you wash, yes, that's my deal

Alas, all this pile, has not got much sense,
Ha’pence for all the lot;
Had but a clue I been taught,
I’d not compose utter rot.
Walking through forest
Cerise leaves fall in Autumn
Creating leaf pile
Recalling a past child play
When innocence was not stained
She lay there seduced
To a pile of ashes reduced
An all engulfing flame
He set her on fire
Through the night
Quenched her desire
Beautiful crisp leaves
Cool refreshing breeze
Books begin to pile up
As school begins and Summer ends
You realize
You are a new you
all the kings men
in the lions den
said they was,when
wind changes ends
all the players
in the milk money pile
afterwhile crocodile
Trees starting to shed,
Bright hues of red and orange,
Pile on verdant grass
As the ebony crow glides
Through brilliantly crisp air.
I once had a car of no luck
It got stuck in a pile of muck
It hadn't a tire
So I lit it on fire
And went out and I bought me a truck
Pile up snow, yes, pile up deep,
pile up snow on hills real steep,
pile up snow, I want three feet,
pile up snow, fresh powder is sweet.
I can't stop now...
It makes me smile...
Maybe after 'while...
That's when I'll...
Put it in my file...
And let it pile...
up in style.
Dealers’ catalogs, they pile
My desk and overflow my file,
My first editions fight for space:
Like weeds, the price-lists choke their place.

Collecting sandstones
To refill love thrown
Rocks pile---nights alone.

Oh to live life busy as a bee
Admiring flowers making honey
Then the fly comes along
Says the bee got it wrong

Singapore
a cent, I feel puny
a nickel, I shine
and the dime you gave me
as I asked for the time
the dollar to be earned
to make a pile but not a shield.
Hiding everything there was to say
spent ashes in a pile of the day
intentions inhaled and exhaled away
unspoken words of love going up in smoke.
I once had a pile of money
so I bought me a new honey
she is so wickedly bad
spent every pound that I had
and laughs like its something funny

There is this clever poet named Jack
His limericks pile up by the stack
I try to write one
To have a little fun
But his, a feast and mine just a snack
There once was a joy to behold,
A glorious pile of gold,
But the riches were cursed
Making folks do their worst
So their gold pile would grow by twofold.
When a Ford Mustang and a T-Bird collided it created a mess for sure!
When cops arrived on scene all that remained was a pile of feathers and a heap of manure!
Among the broken dishes
and under the crying faucet
is a pile of dirty silverware left for the next morn
while songs of Love are found lying on the kitchen floor.
