If we looked the same
No separation between race
color or shame
Could you love me just as I am
With my flaws, my sorrows,
even with my honors?
But, if I were different
Separating race, color, and yes
shame
Could you still love me for
being just me
Or would you feel the need to
walk away again?
The miles so keeping the two apart
So distances, great, the destined hearts
But, yet they seek, they feel, they know
Despite the distance, their love grows
To never have touched, but yet they feel
To never have sight, but yet love’s real
They know one another, so deep, they do
Together, in common, they love so true
Why utter a speech that will
make you go down
I was born in the west but my
face is just brown
I love my country (u.k) with
the passion and pride
Just as I love everyone who
lives on this world of mine
I don't see Adam as white I
don't see eve as black
I see brothers unite
I see earth as a flag
I can't see the hatred I only see
love
I only see love all around
We're blessed from above
To be honest I don't know what I've done...
To be truthful I hope I've made the right choice,
to have your heart as my sun.
To be straightforward I think I've found my award.
To be direct you have a huge heart, I checked.
To be open it's hard for me to express what I mean with out chokin'.
To be sound, our love was found.
To be fair, let's stay together and share.
everything from the air we breathe for eternity,
to the love we share to make each other happy.
Form:
I crept upon the moonlit night
To where my heart doth dwell
To spy amidst the candlelight
My one true love, my belle
A sultry vision, tempting eyes
Her pow’rs just never belay
She leaves me ever paralyzed
My love she keeps at bay
No wishing brings her to me
No praying makes her know
The feelings I want her to see
The love I wish to show
So, I will sneak again tonight
The shadows know my course
I’ll seek her out by candlelight
As love reveals its force
