Apollo
Breaking thru the clouds
with the power of light
as a song bird sings
untill the night
healing the wounded
as a chariot thus fly
plucking his lyre
as he opens our eyes
this oracular God
whom can heal or kill
protecting the sun
with a musical gun....

Divine Longing
In timeless beauty,
Aflame with divine essence,
Soul yearns for union.
Oh, radiant beauty,
Your effulgence ignites flames
In the depths of my soul.
Beneath mortal flesh,

In eternal love....

Moody Black's People
surrounded by incredibly
talented
oracular
spectacular individuals
bonded by word
spoken
yet heard to the third....
Power!
awake
within the stillness
this hour
harmonically invested
spiritual benevolence
fuels their army of relevance
the rarest people you'll meet
standing up for freedom
feet to the street
sharing their fearless soul
with body and mind aligned
complete
in control
*(dedicated to Moody Black's Upstate S.C. Poetry team, and Dr. Richard Moss)...

The Vigil
Floaters swim in acrid clouds, I watch
myself killed by me, the image was real, oracular
ashen grey, sitting on a sand dune
I listen to the silence of bending and roaring faults,
the life repeats the mistake, possessed, chasing
the wheels, fever rising, the swish of a snake,
time; could not make it, daintly the moon drifts on
the dark contours, ripples of a lake, a flock
of birds turns inland into shadows of chorus
a small city of voices seeks freedom.
