She turned to the sunlight And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor: “Winter is dead.”

Y our old-fashioned lemony pie
E specially with meringue
L uxurious curd of citrusy yellow
L ight hue that exudes energy
O stentatious and tempting dessert
W insome jaunty, yellowy, crusty delight

Homeland

Rolling hills of rock and heather
Narrow roads and cold crisp weather

Sunrays through a rain cloud sky
Rivers roll where eagles fly

Sweet smells waft in open places
Natures gifts the good lord graces

Snowtop mountains, seas of green
I close my eyes, these things I’ve seen

So far from me this place can seem
But always with me when I dream

Christopher Robin

Christopher Robin a friend from long ago,
His author A.A. . Milne.

His friends Winnie-the-Pooh, and Tiger
Delightful and kind.

He was seen with his friends,
Champion of storybooks.

Real folklore hero,
Beloved storybook friend,,

Colorful character ,
Visiting his companions from the acre wood.

Beloved and read by society,
What miracle this time passage.

Tears

She cried because her world had collapsed
He cried because their world had collapsed
She wanted her world back
He couldn’t live in it

She cried because she had lost love
He cried because he had found love
She wanted his love back
He couldn’t give it

She cried because she was alone
He cried because he had been alone
She would never understand
He knew she couldn’t. He left

In grit and guts does hope dwell

Hold thy hope, happy scene shall come,
To parched and keen, ocean shall come.
Rest nor relax O wayfarer,
Thy dream with joy within shall come.

Epigram | 09.08.2025 | dream, hope, patience, traveler
Note: Inspired from the original Urdu:

Rakh hauñslaa, voh mañzar bhi ayegaa,
Pyaase ke paas chalkar samañdar bhi ayegaa,
Thak kar na baith O mañzil ke musaaphir,
Mañzil bhi ayegi aur milne kaa mazaa bhi ayegaa.

A Darkened Room

Always there the two back beast
On the joys of love it feasts

Two are one then two once more
Forms that merge upon the floor

Shapes that show when lights deflected
Sounds that peel from souls affected

Intense with passion the air’s electric
Movements slow and then more hectic

Soon the beast has had its fill
Where it danced all now is still

The beast will rise no need to call
We are its mind; it’s in us all
