Tears behind a smile you try to hide but deep down inside there's know way around in what
you trying to hide I see your fears that turns in to tears when ever you smile when are
you going to let go of him so one day the world can really see you smile.
Sitting here so far away
Watching you smile and play
While I sit here drowning in my own pain
See me for who I am
Look past my fake smile and cheer
See the pain I held for years
This is what you caused
Do you even care?
You always turn away
Excuse after excuse
What happens when you run out
Will you take the blame
Or just turn a blind eye as you always have.
Form:
The power of a smile overwhelms me
When hope is lost it can help you see
Through the tears and pain and misery
A smile can open hearts and set you free
How fast can just the other day
Become a memory fading fast so far away
I tried to convince it to stay
But off it went and here we lay
Arms wide open to what tomorrow brings
Endings belong to all our beginnings
Maybe and end to this dance on wings
Beating to the tune that the future sings
