Memories Past

as memories past are in my head
my eyes are filled with tears
the anger long suppressed fills my being
emotions are rushing in, filling me with dread
awakening my long my long dead fears
my hate for humans all i'm seeing

now i'm back, and in control
emotions once again suppressed
and anger once again is buried
and i cannot help but wonder
during my emotional upheavals
why is it that i can't feel joy?
