Premium Member Dear Brain (Abridged)

My dear brain, forgive me, won't you?
I've filled you with alcohol, time and again
My heart's silence drowning the head's tin can
Once and for all I am delivered to you
Forgive me, won't you?

Give me time, an agenda if you must.
Make me a shoe salesman, a bird-watcher,
A circus clown, whatever...
But keep and restore the Trust of the Spirit.
Forgive me, brain.

This Pain

i wear this pain with my head held high. you can't see me cry,you would never know
that i employ laughter, when inside i just want to die. this pain has also given me
respect for others-its given me diginity. this pain in my heart i can live with. its for
me and only me,its not for the world to see. this pain does not define me,cannot
confine me,it can only make me stronger-this pain.

Information

Information
clouds my brain
makes me insane
float me away
somewhere quiet
not even interested
in what you've got
my brain is sodden
overdone
I need some peace
some under water
in the clouds
under the pillow
green summer breezes
far away mower
softer cows
now i'm drifting
away

dont bring me back
its not my error
not my concern
not my terror
its now your problem
your little relief
I'll hide here
unspoken.

No Deal

I could sit and groan and moan

I guess,

and you would expect

they will expect

some crying

but I cant and I wont

cause I have better things to do

with something as precious

as time,

you want me to lay down

and die

again and again

but I wont and cant

because pure stubbornness

drives me to succeed

you will never get what you want

by default maybe

but not because I let it

A Single Side Effect

With my very first bout of chemo
The first side effect I found
Was pain along my jaw bone
When ere’ I first bit down
Let me back it up some
So you might understand
Pain along the jaw bone
Is uncommon with this brand
And if it is encountered
It’s every time you chew
Not just on the first bite
But lasts the whole meal through
I guess it is my nature
It’s not something that I seek
Side effects – abnormal
Leave me to be unique
