It goes right through my heart
A layer by layer
A granule by granule
The glass shatters
Making it impervious to life
And stopped without a beat
How a word can make a difference
And lay one dead.
Who fills the hour glass
Are there sand bags everywhere
Does a machine do it
Why do I even care
One granule, two granules
Three granules, four
How do you know to subtract
Or add more
What a sad occupation
You watching time pass
Clocking the second
Of sand in the glass
The beauty of nature
one sand granule at a time
being carried from one unknown place to another
to be lost within the depths of the tides
clinging to its home on the shores
by the sea I can see
the beauty of nature
one wave lashing at a time
bringing with it the roar of it's anger
Running river so bold and tranquil. beautiful color
absorbed into each other as patches of rainbows.
drenched into perfection.
The water flows as an elegant seagull.
Flowing up over the rocks nestled in line
and each tiny rock like a granule.
The tranquil but yet bold sound is like a
rumbling heart beat that tip toes
on your heart.
Would I ever forget
finding in my pocket
a grain of silvery sand
rasping upon my hand.
Although just a granule,
trivial and minuscule,
gently it whispers that
I, too, am a mere dot.
At the end of a track
the last note is struck;
relax the gripping hand,
life vanishes like sand.
Single granule,begin it's form
as a stone at birth,becoming bones of the earth
mountain spur which stir incite
the rising of majestc heights....
Single snowflake,lightly will fall
joining others to form a ball
snowpacked hillside avalanche
compression layers slide advance....
Single sand,to form a jewel
within' it's shell an oyster's globule.....
Single thought....a pearl of wisdom
given time to form it's kingdom.....
