Eating Son

What my son loves the most is good food, be it toasted or roasted or stewed. Can he put it away! A filet and entrée will go in and then out of this dude.

Mmmmmmm

Sauteed onions and mushrooms
        Choice Filet Mignon
Wrapped in a piece of bacon
          Sear it on the grill
          Cook until it's rare
             Place on a plate
                     EAT

Chesapeake Bay

One day I’ll play in the Chesapeake Bay
On a boat I’ll lay soaking up sun rays
Sunscreen I’ll spray U.V. rays turn away
Catch a fish I’ll pray possibly display
A fish mouth I’ll splay possibly filet
A good day I’ll say in Chesapeake Bay

Friday Night Dinners

Friday Night Dinners

Waiting in line
Table for five
Peanuts on floor
Country songs blaring
Crazy loud voices
Time to dine
Bottle of beer
Bread and butter
Petite filet rare
Loaded baked potato
Extra sour cream
Crisp Cesar salad
Ice cream sundae
Time to go
Kisses and hugs………
Life is good

Bacon-wrapped, filet mignon

Beurre Blanc, or Sabayon

caviar so delicate

on your tongue, you will not forget.

Crystal and golden spoons

Do not forget the tea at noon

for your name, an abbreviation

Do not forget the reservation.

A brand-new car in the drive

my own pool, in which I dive

all new clothes, every stitch

How satisfying to be rich.

Premium Member My Father's Instructions: Cooking Filet Mignon

Have it
At room
Temperature
Before cooking.

No marinade.
Just coarse salt
And pepper.

Hot heavy pan
Medium to high heat.
Flip when seared.

Dark brown.
Lower heat.

Lotsa butter,
Mushrooms,
Chopped shallots,
Drops of
Lee and Perrins.
Squirt of lemon &
Dash of parsley
At the end.

Have a warm plate.
Drop it all from the pan.
Keep plate
On low warm.
Let it sit for 20min.

Tenderloin is delicate.

What We Do To Each Other

We soak
We baste
We waste
We strain
Let's take care
Not to drain
Each other

We chop
We slice
We dice
Filet and sautee
Let's take care
What we say
To each other

We fire
We stoke
We smoke
We learn
Let's take care
Not to burn
Each other

We grill
We broil
We boil
Stew and barbeque
Let's take care
What we do
To each other

We fare
We wine
We dine
We fume
Let's take care
Not to consume
Each other

Premium Member Boogie Woogie Cat

I dont know what’s with this feline,
But I wish that she were really mine.

I think she’s the cat of my fun .dreams.
She and I would make quite the team!

We could go on “Cat Dancing with the Stars”
Bring home the huge trophy,in my jalopy of a car.

I’d make her a filet of salmon in a crystal dish.
And reward myself with sherbet, it is so delish.

Two swinging champions we and so full of soul..
Tomorrow night, we will snack on raspberry jelly-rolls!

Darkness Fishing

With darkness
Fishing
 No appreciation
When beaten
 Lies with submission
Stagnant streams
 Overflow under dreams
Fish in spawning
 Under currents churning
Filet knife honed
 Scales in pilings
A temperate rising
Seasoned with bubbling
Deep fried soul
 A fork that is piercing
Please pass on the sauce
 You in yearning
Display me on a wall
 Like a trophy stuffed
Dangling with lures
You felt so sure
 A coward with a tale

Naked and Naïve

Naked and naïve
it’s time to bereave
your bedridden soul
for which ravens toll
You wear cynicism in
on a placid sunny day
melting a turquoise sky
into a saffron souffle
Your derision derides
the emptiness inside
digesting a child’s core belief
with your apocalyptic grief
So filet those frailties
with that phoenix in your fray
by flapping that acrid ash
far, far away
Then bathe in a turquoise sky
on a placid sunny day
as you stand before that child
naked and naïve
