Madmen
Motivated by prejudice
And egged on by
Devilish intent,
Men flew birds of destruction
Eagerly to take innocent lives,
Now hold us captive to their madness...

Eagles fly

Minds soar

While Eagle flies
soaring off ahead
echoing upriver cries
to where s/he became
back before

Egged on
Eagles fly

Fertile minds soar......

Premium Member Joy
Joy gives herself readily to the masses
They cough and sputter and spit her out
Not willing to accept and cherish her

She is not rebuffed
Tries a multitude of times
Egged on by optimism and hope...

Early settlers loved it
 Easily concocted
 Eggs, milk, mixed with sugar
 Enhanced by some fine rum
 Elixir of yuletide
Egged on by brews of nog -
 Enjoy Christmas parties!

Premium Member Crafty Lawyer
Downtown there once was a crafty lawyer
Egged his clients to be straight-faced liar
Facing the judge they fumbled
Grilled, façade of lies crumbled
He lost all cases, made money each year.

We Are One
When the cosmic horn blows
Enchanting soul and spirit, miles

Apart.. Draw closer, it says and
Reach for glory... With one mind,
Egged by the mysterious eschatology

Of the end... Together, we shall all
Name one destiny, with one voice,
Exclaiming, "WE ARE ONE!!!"...

Friends
Sitting at the house
All alone
Called up my friends
On the phone

By myself
It was a glum
With my friends
We had some fun

We slashed some tires
With a knife
We egged a house
And ran for our life

After the cops
Stoped the riot
Back to my house
For some peace and quiet...

Wishes Over Air
Wishes favored over air
Hopes o’er constancy plain
Oases stripped of falsehoods fair
Still egged on by pain

Flowering hope, a swinish symbol
The sweet are only taste
Protective only as a ghostly thimble
Plummeting disgrace

Tip toe tip toe little dreams
You’re wrong, you’re air, you’re scarce
Glazed eyes reek of busted seams
In a knitted sleeve that tears...

Premium Member Tyrant By Age Five
She is such a weirdo cat!” The four year old child said.
The family laughed, encouraging this behavior.
Egged on he kept trying out more disparaging words.
His audience roared, loving the effect they had on him.

He became a tyrant by the age of five.
Making other kindergarteners cry
Calling them “weirdo, fat, stupid” and “ugly.”
Tried hard to make friends but that did not happen....

Tped
Some little bastards TPed my house and my yard.
I put them over my Knees and spanked them hard.
They ran home and told their moms and pops.
Thirty minutes later I was arrested by some cops.

I spent Halloween night behind bars.
Those kids returned and egged my car.
They also left a flaming bag of poop at my door.
They vandalised my house but at least their butts were sore.

(THIS IS A FICTIONAL POEM.)...

The War An Opinion
The war
The war in Ukraine is getting serious
but could easily be avoided.
Russia cannot tolerate a NATO close to its border
the USA, understand this
When the Russians had missiles in Cuba (1962)
the USA thought it was too close and demanded
their removal.
As it is we are witnessing is Ukraine at war
egged on by Europe who is such dunderheads
risking a bigger nuclear war.
We are sacrificing the Ukrainian people
for our hubris...

The End of An Age
Miner's out on Strike
No Coal to fuel the home fires
Or plumes of Industry
Outside the Picket gate's
The Miner's stood

Egged on by Militant Union leaders
Selling the deception of better pay
That would not see the light of day
They waited for

That what which was not to come
They had met there Waterloo
The future was mass consumerism
On a global scale

Manufacturing and Mining
Had seen its day in the Sun
The 1990 had begun...

The Boxer
The Boxer

He had the saddest eyes I have ever seen
  hands trembled like a drunkard`s
  after a fortnight's bender but a dipsomaniac
  can always have another drink
Ali could not Parkinson`s disease saw to that
This poet of the ring a victim of success
egged on too long, just another fight my love
Honours and medal they bestowed him
it came too late his voice was but a whisper
In the glade butterflies fly as he once did
but not as fast as Mohammed Ali....

All I Wanted
All i wanted

All i wanted was to say sorry. Then he moved and that's okay. I mean I totally
didn't want to say something to like my world's biggest crush no no. but now I know that some kids in my class decided to vandalize his house while on vacation like they broke the windows they left the bath running they egged it and for what for pleasure for kicks i don't know but at least i know i was not my fault.

Don't put all your eggs into one basket
they may drop and burst, ending up in a casket
         Having egg on your face
  can be a big disgrace

If someone eggs you on
then trouble might be to blame
a "duck's egg" in a game
    is the loser's shame

 when your nickname is egghead
     it's something you may dread
an omelet is so tasty to eat
      making it an 'eggcellent' treat
                         ~
