Searching Love
when you search love
from the people of stone hearts,
it is like putting yourselves

Premium Member Aging
As the fog shrouds everything with damp
Settles into the eaves
Nature huddles in dens and nests
Droplets cling to all leaves

Foggy now in the thought process
Pathways slow just a bit
Not happy about this aging
What's the future in it? ...

Dad Or Bad
Dad or Bad.

Broken homes
And
Lavish dens
On Benefits
Or in a benz
Got enemies
Some call Friends
There's
Stick up kids
Gangs with shivs
And the thug addicts
Selling drug habits
There's the good
Bad happy and sad
Who am i
Im now a dad...

Pit Vipers
To not appease the critics,
success within our grasp

The charlatans of written words,
venom of the asp

They bury deep inside their dens,
ordained iconoclasts

Passing judgment, casting blame
—on what they fear might last

(To T.R.’s ‘Man In The Arena’ March, 2021)...

Political Animals
They nap and yawn in their dens
They clop around their turf doing nothing
They roar where there is no real danger
They throw dirt at everyone
They hibernate to their holes during storms
The pop out unscathed to be saviours
They prey on the weak, topping the food chain
Strangling others to make personal gains...

When You See Mother
when you see mother
tell the tale
tell this dear tale
that he dwells
in the woods
like her hairy kids
who now live as lambs
beside some shepherds’
green pastures
planted by the lions’ dens
within these niger’s banks
banks swollen of grasses
grasses housing the weavers
oh, tell the tale
tell this dear tale
when you see mother....

Cornflower Blue.
Then as a child left to run wild,

No worry or care no evils were there.

Watching the sun through eyelids just born.

Playing with nature in dens made of corn.

On an ocean of flowers so upright and blue,

We would play pirates on a great sea of hue.

Time existed only in seasons,

No need of when?

No need of reasons....

Of Cain and Canis
Let them sleep
Do not let hunters
Into dens creep.
Predator kin predator
Mothers and babes
In your safe harbor
Killed without grace.
Who amongst us
Will let this take place?
It's the man on the throne
With the lobbyists' ear;
Overboard humanity is thrown
As no more dangerous
A predator exists
In our world on this ark than us....

I'Ll Drink To That
Bourbon; whisky- on the rocks,
Chased by draughts of Coke
Or was it lines sniffed from the clock-
Forgotten after several tokes?

Join the Clan of Ativan,
(Betrothed to one Ms. Lora Tab)
In vodka pools, serenely swam-
By many needles, duly stabbed

My Ecstasy for LSD,
In quiet dens of Opium
Magic Mushrooms picked for me-
And a sip of amber rum......

Those men have been gone for days on end
I have cooked the last of the prairie hens
If they don't come back soon the food will be all gone
I have been hunting for miles on end
To see if there were some nuts, berries, or small animal's dens
Trying to gather what I can and add to the stores
Before winter comes and scarce will be the food source...

AN ORGANIC CHILDHHOD (1940'S STYLE)
School was out,
vacation touched our gate,
long days,bedtimes late;
time,routine we relegate

Bird nesting,climbing trees,
building dens,adults unseen,
picnics and make-believe;
imagination-filtered dreams

Unsupervised,wandering free,
adventures sans boundary,
no cares,no chores;
natural boyhood to the core...

The Dens Dawn
Den`s dawn

The smoke filled pub Curtains
could not shut out the light
of a ghostly dawn.
A place full of overflowing
ashtrays and empty chairs,
and the shadow of the lonely by the bar.
Broken talk and broken dreams.
Soon cleaner will come
with perfumed chemicals
and kill yesterday.
The shadows will be back their loneliness
is the only thing that will not leave....

Budding Trees
When trees bud their first green
All of nature rejoices when
Birds in early morn' sing,
New life all around, a butterfly omen-
It is time for love once again

Primitive energies overtake all beings
Expectant mothers' build their dens
I stop to watch two birds lovingly preen
Time to build on life, nature knows when
An ancient art performed through history
again and again

Jesus Oh, Jesus Oh
Beautiful face, born in a manger.
So many disciples and prophets see.
A risen lord saving lives in danger.
He wipes away all our human sins.
Salvation comes as a free gift of his.
Raising the dead in judgement dens.
He reaches for the living as well.
Loving them with open arms.
Giving them spiritual water in his spirit
well and guiding them where they belong.
Jesus oh, Jesus oh!...

A Pagan Gambler's Plea
Gods and goddesses of Olympus. Hear me, especially Athena. You are the goddess of good fortune. I am losing at this craps table. I am right alongside the ocean. Perhaps great Poseidon will help me. I’ve lost so much money in this place. Father of the seas, a tidal wave won’t be a bad idea right now. Wipe the boardwalk of these evil dens. Send all of those bums right to Hades.

Homeless
Homeless
The rain falls gently making no splashes
The wind is absent today.
Safe indoors I look out and know many
Seek bus shelters, and they have no home.

Paris is an ugly city, expensive and dirty
Their subways stink of unwashed people.

I think of the unseen whom we don’t see
Mainly because we don’t want to.
In our cosy dens, we should know this
The calamity of losing it all could happen to us....

Dens and Swings
I remember dens and swings,

There weren't any techno things.

Outside playing hide and seek

No pc to give a tweak.

Weekends up the river walking

Not permanently on an iphone talking.

No facebook with a hundred likes

Just charging around on our bikes.

The twitter we knew came from birds,

We didn't text, we spoke real words.

Alas such childhoods are long since gone,

No playing out, just logging on....
