Summery Personality
Serendipity happened
As the dancer communed
Poet's scintillas and muse
Enchanting poetic expression
Dances like wind-tossed Dandelion
Fragrant perfume infuse
Summery, sumptuous person
Gifted poet whose poems not homespun
Whose words hearts seduce___

Inspired by “Writing is really a form of addiction, really”
another superb Cyndi MacMillan line
Fill me poets with a
lawful rush to
every cell of existence.
Hooked like sharks
to wounds, guttle
each new drop, each word,
without which we painfully
pass away in need of substance,
a heart, a soul, any heart, any soul.

Poet Bee
Butterflies flit to flowers
serenity in the shade
reclined adirondack chair
a buzzzz interrupts...
Ouch, bee sting "bites me", in pain,
I run for the cortisone.
Impossible! metered buzzzz
...off to find Cyndi!

Purse Worthy
A fellow poet the other day
Had the kindest words to say
At first I kind of felt all nerdy
To hear my poem would be “purse worthy”
This was a term quite new to me
So she explained it so I’d see
It meant she thought the poem was good
She’d put it in her purse – she would
So she could read it any time
I’m kind of glad I wrote that rhyme
Mdailey 6/21/11

To Cyndi Macmillan, From Jack Horne
By day the toys surround her in a group,
But when her little girl is sleeping sound,
The keyboard’s where our poet will be found,
To write some magik lov - her words astound;
She always brings the gift of joy to Soup.
Merry Christmas, Cyndi xx
*For PD’s contest

Joys of Being Naked
Ah, yes, the joys of being naked
I love you’re wholly naked with me
Others have us wisely rated
They can go outside, come and see
And wish to one day simply be
Secure in their bodies enough
To be glowing in the buff
Greatly we are completely so
Got invisible clothes and stuff
Comfortable in skin I know

Deja' Vu
At fast food restaurant where I eat
There's man that gives feeling deja' vu
Our glances have always been discrete
At fast food restaurant where I eat
A tete-a'-tete would fuel the heat
This tete-a'-tete is long overdue
At fast food restaurant where I eat
There's man that gives feeling deja'vu

Au Revoir, Love
"Au revoir, mon amour", these words I cried.
Our affaire de coeur, c'est magnifique...
"Why must our passion end?" I sighed,
"Au revoir, mon amour", these words I cried.
With a kiss, "c'est la vie", he replied,
"our beautiful love, a shelved antique".
"Au revoir, mon amour", these words I cried.
Our affaire de coeur, c'est magnifique!

Feeling Golden
Unhooking my bikini, I fall in
to Utah Lake; it’s thirteen years ago!
I’m naked, and the sun - incarnadine -
like me, has also slipped itself down low,
(though into dusk), while, I -in water -glow!
My arms are freckle-speckled, lightly tanned.
Beneath my skin I’m feeling golden, and
my breasts are buoys, round and pearly white.
My legs kick strongly; they are lean and grand;
I’m sturdy - yes - but now I’m sweetly light!
