blossoms rain on summers day
yellow parachutes

she grows renegade
her offshoots grow wild too
commandeer the yard

Dad, 

I want to break you out of here—
commandeer the ludicrous 
toddler-pink wheelchair 

and roll you over the salt-sprayed hills
where Camas choirs sing out indigo

hues, beneath your opus scribed
upon the dawning crimson blaze 
you crave . . . like air

each laboured breath  
a decrescendo 
from this eighth-floor window

Before her I stood embellished
 I ruled I enthralled
 I was called to love just only her
In the midst of my tears
 In fighting in my fears 
I commandeer my faith 
I stood with grace 
And midst all my accomplishments 
I dared to dream for love
As  so I asked her for her heart
This is where my heart skips a beat as such
