The couple were upset at divorce court,
Chock Full of Nuts or Tasters Choice,

A Dance of Protocol
Just because I remained silent,
trust me it still happened;
Adjust to make it all bearable
robust so emotions are monitored;
Talk is cheap so I just wander away,
chock it up to the writing on the wall;
Knock but I simply won't answer;
Padlock and avoid a dance of protocol....

Drinks
Champagne in lovely waterfall,
Fill up your glass with alcohol.
Coffee in my cup with Brandy.
Mighty fine and mighty dandy.
Gin and soda; favorite casino
In L.V., also Mesquite, Reno.
Milk or juice in cup, filler up.
I have beautiful coffee cups.
Used to be Chock Full of Nuts....

When Daddy Filled the Stockings
We let him think we were asleep
And didn't know he was the one
Who filled the stockings for Santa.
We didn't want to spoil his fun.
We would have known Daddy filled it,
The bulging sock we were dreaming of,
Because along with the nuts and candy,
It was so chock full of love.
By Joyce...

A Leprechaun Named Arnie
There once was a leprechaun named Arnie,
Who hailed from the village of Killarney.
When his belly was sated,
Said the lass that he dated:
"You are chock-full of Guinness and blarney!"
Entry for Kim Merryman's "Luck of the Irish Limerick Contest"

Fading Years
Fading Years
Written: by Tom Wright
3/17/2016
As years fade and expire,
Dreams vanish,
Leaving us to purview life
In a rear view mirror,
Chock full of what ifs;
Long ago is the time
Of being the entrée on the table;
Now we adapt to the feeling
Of the crumb that fell to the floor.

Pal Joey
This was a showcase for Kim Novak and Rita Hayworth.
If you saw this in the theater, you got your money’s worth.
What a fine example of fifties cinema.
This film seemed tailor made for Frank Sinatra.
With a fine story, and chock full of music galore,
"Pal Joey" is a movie just about anyone will adore.

A Long Hard Night
Ya' I would spend the night again
Chock it up to a tiny spark
We won't even talk about sin
All the light's off, just shameless in the dark
Girl, I fell head over for you
But there's these giving in's
Let's just keep it,do what we do
Make love and then amends
It's been so many days
I've been crying inside
I'm miss the easy ways
Please save my mind...

The Moth and the Oak
One ember of an oak chock I’d cut
Remained
while all of us sat around this dying fire
Hoping to keep our stories going.
Hoping to keep our lives and love going.
Then a moth landed
And sizzled one thread-leg
On the dying oak
As we watched it decide to fly off above us
To tell the story to its friends about a lost leg, sizzled amongst desperate strange beings....

Star
Star was a Cali
Dusty and long haired
Mature when we met
You could say that she’d ‘been there’
This was her third home
Each one a full lifetime
Why any would give her up
Is crazy in my mind
She was stubborn, haughty
And chock full of ‘tude
But oh so lovable
When in the right mood
The old lady’s now gone
There were no sad tears
She brightened our world
For 28 years...

Her Words
She hits me with her
Words.
Slashing and bruising
Till there's no more space.
Crammed in my
mind. No more.
Jagged, Pointed and Spiked.
They prowl and pounce.
Stalk their prey.
She uses them.
Words.
Feeds them,
Trains them to
Target me.
She makes them drown me
Weigh me down
And chock me.
There is no escape
It's dark. These
Words.
Too Powerful for me.
I scream.
I cry
She will always win....

Pretty Dragonfly Spreads Love
In a gorgeous meadow chock full of butterflies and daylilies there lived a
sassy happy beautiful dragonfly. She was loved by the tulips, roses, and coneflowers. The monarchs revered her, seeing the joy she brought to the meadow. This little dragonfly did her best to fit in, nurturing each aspect of the meadow as was her right.

The Man Obsessed with Statistics
Dad writes articles chock-full of stats.
Just refer to his latest on rats!
Both my brothers, my sis,
Mom, and I all say this:
We'd prefer sagas starring cute cats.
Name now one man but Dad who would say,
"Evil rats on no star live" today.
Next, I'll make you say 'WOW!'

Then my top spot award, I'll display.”

My Choked Wheel
"Out of the blue the bathtub broke."
Grout it bloke. I am worried and troubled because someone chocked my wheel with a chock.
Some said he chocked my wheel with a choke. He said, she said, they said it was chocked by him with the choke but I do not have a clue of who did because I was fast asleep, indeed, in my room when it was choked.
Confused, Mr Cap, i need a nap in my room. Perhaps, when I wake, i shall forget that the wheel was choked by a bloke I know....

Baby Mouse and Mama Mouse
Baking chocolate cupcake choca choca chocka chocka chock
The baby mouse was singing with gusto all around the block
His mama smiled her appreciation, he was baby of her flock
They will be ready in six minutes, she said do you want to rock?
The baby mouse and mama got in her rocking chair
They rocked all the way to Texas, the oven did not care.
He went about his business, cooking cupcakes up to share
They got frosted too,, for they are not so great when bare....

Reset
Reset.
Still, holding on to vocals
borne on fresh sheets-
feint and margin carry-all
bookkeeps repeats...
Blue veins run straight across,
underpin where I melt
my heart in cold fear's loss,
dip slips of tongue dealt
in chock - a - block
female thoughts - my fondue's
hothead take stock-
be mindful to subdue.
New thoughts come to her
playful - bell jar
film noir stirs up, burns up, blurs
life's old memoirs.
