Game of Life
Poor people posit that cupidity Is synonymous with stupidity, I argue the incessant zeal for more Is just a canny craving to keep score. June 24, 2022

Quickie You
You are quick
And so spunky
You are witty
You are a goof-off (everyday)
You are silly and crazy
You are whiny and wary
You are childlike and canny
You are a show-off (in a good way)
You are pretty
And quite tidy
You are slick!...

Strange Face
With a cool frosty wind
He came calling
Swiftly drifting inward
With a  fruit
Stretched as a reward
For every word
Subtly tearing the branch
From every trunk
With a canny laugh
Tethering the head
Roping the man
Sounding the beginning
With a bit
For every bait....

Poems
A poem
canny,
talkative,
voracious that
intends to innovate ...
invokes,
flames, screams,
fusses and
no one
reads it ...
A poem
manipulated,
sexed,
rapacious,
mushy,
smelling
incest ...
does nothing but
to spread the
pages,
legs ...
for soon
all come
, enter into
and read ...!...

Dyed In the Wool
There’s nowt so canny and nowt so deep
As the musings of the highland sheep
They’ll talk of this and talk of that
Of what they ate and where they shat
Or ponder on life’s mysteries
Like, is the grass beneath the trees
Much finer than the one that grows
Down beside the old hedgerows

Sheep In Thought
There’s nowt so canny and nowt so deep
As the musings of the highland sheep
They’ll talk of this and talk of that
Of what they ate and where they shat
Or ponder on life’s mysteries
Like, is the grass beneath the trees
Much finer than the stuff that grows
Down beside the old hedgerows

Misjudged
Standing still head's up
Retrospect greatest pitfalls
Mass consciousness whim

Wandering till dawn
Waiting brave for the result
Less breathe heartless beat

Until the mind soar
Now is inexplicable
Sufferings indeed

People grim anew
For the best of all Juries
Render canny nod

Continue service
Captivating voter's wit
Last laugh never ends....

Lord Could Afford To Be On Board
Lord Could Afford to Be on Board

Love our Lord who had been on board
I adored and where my sins are stored;
God did forbid and had flipped his lid;
When outside had gone away to hide.

God could hardly bare having love to spare;
After being there he handled me with care;
From what we heard he flew off like a bird;
By my canny cat he had eaten up his third.

Your Excellency
The facade of your election;
Brings no accolade to the nation;
Your ambitions lack honesty;
And your actions are a travesty.

You travel abroad to collect honors;
Yet you ravel the region with horrors;
Some describe your style as canny;
Yet all ascribe your rule as tyranny.

With only your candidacy;
We have the ascendancy of autocracy;
We lack the decency of democracy;
We observe the supremacy of idiocy....

Canny of Unspoken Request
You left in boldness, your ears flicker unnoticed
Aren’t you a canny one…?
I said “Oh…”, and you said “No!”
How thwart art thou?
Remember the Gate? How he spoke the words…
In context, He was a parable about love
He said “For God so…”, and some said “Woe!”
If I said “Oh”, and you say “No”
If I said “it was too quick for you to say…”
And if I said “I can show you another way…”
But you say, “You’re too canny, per se…”...

The World Today
Why is the World losing value in family
It's like we are all so canny
Divorce is a thing
I wish it would grow wings
Just fly away and disappear
Maybe then family would be here
All we value is material
While some people are just worried about when they will get their next cereal
Take a look around
Tell yourself what you found
Look at the sadness
In this world we possess
How do we lose value
When family will always be around you....

Primal Magic
Surd and absurd are – at bottom – synonymous!
Absurd?
Yes, of course.
So are canny and uncanny.
Sub- can mean high or (be)low
Post- can mean Post- or Pre-!
Again, in Tamil, naatram once meant fragrance,
Now it's its opposite.

Antithetical meanings of primal words,
As noted by Freud,
And as endorsed by Bloom.
Maybe a linguistic universal for Chomsky,
Freeplay for Derrida,
Language games for Lyotard,
And a mystery for us!

Meows and Purrs
Meows and Purrs

Have heard more than just a few
Of what you might call a cat's meow
And suddenly to me it did occur
My canny cat has a continuous purr.

With both eyes seem to stare at me
What is it that he expects to see?
Perhaps toy to play with or some food
Have you seen a cat that is tattooed?

It could be me with all my charm
He again rubbed up against my arm
And I always knew from the very start
Of me, my cat has become a permanent part....

Blind Cause
One day you get hit by a bus
and roll around in pain
but people didn't see the bus
and say stop acting lame

bad things will happen to you
and nobody will see it
they will observe your reaction
and judge the way you're being

ignorance towards the cause
dismissing the reality
aware though as emotions pour
questioning your sanity

focusing on your behaviour
not calm not cool not canny
the cause of it remains a stranger
they judge on what they can see...
