The Slaves Tanka
Of what use is time
If it’s consumed by passion
Servicing others
Servitude that drowns your dream
While you toil and save and pay

The Moon
Like a devoted dog, ignorant of human schemes,
The Moon returns and seems to watch,
Towards worldly affairs she is ambivalent,
Instead she simply shines.

Moonlight
I trawl through happy memories
Aided through old song
And for a fleeting moment
In gladness I belong
Humming in the moonlight
Absent mind floats on
Bringing back to my delight
Golden moments gone

Between
Prostrate between earth and sky
Drained, desperate, powerless,
But the imagination soars,
And penetrates reflections
Like Alice’s looking glass
When we look yonder
We see within
And explore
Dreams

You Say I Say
You say:
(you are a light worker for me!)

The way, the truth, the light
My truth is relative; as is yours
My way is real; as is yours
My light ignites with yours

I say:
(you are a light worker you see!)

Thinking
In the heart the rhythm of life plays havoc with reason.
Nature seeks equilibrium in contest, no one is ever content.
Hope feeds folly and triumph in equal measure.
Even an idiot can have an epiphany.
Thinking , curser blinking ........./

Making Coffee
You will need:
Some coffee
A cup
Some cream
A spoon
Some imagination

You are the creator
The cup ,
The limits of this Universe
The spoon,
Sets things in motion
The coffee,
Dark matter
The cream,
The first spiral Galaxy
Imagination,
The Universal in the Particular

TO RETURN ?

              He promised to be back
                   On day after tomorrow.
                Days after days rolled on.
                     Waiting for specific day.
                    ‘The day after tomorrow.’

Time stood still in the azure sunset
She left the town that saw her grew
Leaving behind the baggage
That drowned to an abyss
Compared to hades
Until one day
Reason won
Over
Love

Shattered in pieces the tender heart
Fixed with the healing that brings time
Rises from the nowhere world
Beats with the hidden scars
Subsaning the pain
Suicided

Alone
If we really are alone
Made of
Strings bits of things
Scattered all over
Unimaginable distances
Outside and inside
Emotions that stretch
Like elastic
Unbelievable coincidences
Hope and dread
Measured reason
Demons in the machine
This moment butters the head
If we really are alone

Gold
Think of yourself as Gold
Fashioned in a star
Blazing bright
Untarnished no matter

Think of yourself as Enduring
Reliable as the star
Shining light
Unhurried no matter

Think of yourself as Wonder
Conceived in love
Born perfect
Unencumbered by strife

Think of yourself as Beautiful

Blue Rainbow
In response to 'paint me a rainbow' by nicola byrne

Golden eye and crescent nerve.
The rainbow hides, he doesn't like
to be disturbed.
He's actually a bit perturbed.
The people gaping from behind
and every angle wide.
You have to pay for pictures blue
and colours frosted in the nude.
The rainbow waits in turn for you
to show him curves for him to perv....

Adendum
The night is filled with Gold
Iron, carbon, platinum, water
Hydrogen, helium, silver
Freckled everywhere

Order, gravity
Ancient light, curving through the sky

The night is boasting bold
Orion, Volans, Microscopium, Cancer
Sculptor, Scutum, Serpens, Sextans
Every name you dare

Thrill the night with stars
Adient flight, surging through the mind

Valentine Shmalentine
Valentines day is a joke I learnt the hard way as a bloke. My last valentines gift on that day, a divorce order delivered, yay, till now nothing more funny, no more chocolates and a cute bunny, I can no longer celebrate this ritual, as for most this is habitual.

Angels We
Do the whales know that, all we are real?
Do we, the humans, know that they can feel?
Sing a song for us across the ocean,
while harpoons pierce our hearts
with such devotion.
Curious they are about our souls
Singing angels all of us behold.
Curious we are; we come to Meat
Lethal research, deeds we use to greet.

Angels we, our beauty and our souls,
Bleeding in the ocean, dying cold.

This Time
Violence of every kind,
In spirit that is lost,
Flagrant to extol the mind,
And therefore at a cost,

History that’s godless spent,
In crushing dreams below,
Decapitate the mind that’s meant,
To be what we might know,

Power twisted on its side,
Contorted with such greed,
Beastly cravings must confide,
The bowels of human need,

Godless as we carry on,
Bereft a lonesome chime,
Babies born another dawn,
Change they say this time.

The Heart and the Flamingo
I saw a heart on a Large pink to scarlet web-footed wading bird with down-bent bill,
The heart was pink and so very hard to see, but I knew it was there,
Because it was in my little Minnie’s smile.

Her favorite long sleeved shirts have hearts on them,
Underneath she wears a short-sleeved cotton one; for comfort,
Today's undershirt had the wading bird on it!

4 years old, happy with her
Heart and Flamingo and Playful smile.

Point of No Return
Canyon walls dwarf us, a speck
of blue so very far above. Down here,
deep shadows.
I shiver.

The waterfall roars, we stand
in the pool below.
The rope
still
hangs,
bright umbilical cord
to the upper world.

Nobody speaks. We know:
this is it.
If we pull the rope, the only way
out:
down canyon.

Eyes full of expectation and trust
glance at you.
We await the verdict.
