Tigers, cape buffalos and wood bison...
Cows and sheep and goats and rabbits and swine 
Chicks and ducks took shelter under humans
Only to die each moment fearing slaughter...!

Cat food in the kitchen
Bird seed down the hall
Dog food on the back porch
Giraffe food against the wall

We live in a zoo, a menagerie
With opossums and one snake
There is no place I would rather be
Having pets for us is no mistake

Cornmeal for squirrel with fluffy tail
Come visit us, we should charge you a fee
Buffalos arrive daily in the pony express mail
We are loving these animals, husband and me....
