A miscue, a misstep, misjudgment and more
A faux pas, a boo-boo, a bumble for sure
A miscalculation, a miscomputation, grade goes down a notch.
Hear That They Have Been Coming
We heard that they have been coming;
And all the songs they were humming;
TV watch;
Sometimes botch;
Up things about them must be summing.

Does like to lie and then others watch;

is a ray of light under God’s watch,
that soul’s ascent ego may not botch.
Noticing the happenstance reoccur,
with bliss magnetism we concur,

When driving through a downpour
You must keep a careful watch
And hope your driving record

You have to raise your highway skills

And once at home, the thing to do
Is have a shot of scotch!
New York City is overrun by rats!
And is driving the poor citizens bats.
Guv'mint will botch extinction.
They ne'er act with distinction.

I Hit Your Car
I hit your car in the parking lot.
I was there and you were not.
So I write this note as the people watch,
and my licence plate they will botch.
And now this driver he must go.
I don’t want to be here when you show.

Who can see this happen? I'm scared
It moved me and made my heart feel snared
But I knew I could only watch
Blood splattered violently across the botch
While you are engaged in an endless game
Everything is unfair, I kept thinking, what a shame!

My darling dear who I find so fair,
Does have fine face and great hair;
Bells will ring,
When does sing,
And her love for me she will share.
What did happen was they did botch,
Something that occurred on my watch;
By gone;
Was on;
In belt had carved an accident notch.

On God's Watch No Botch
Throughout history
On God's watch no botch may be
Except maybe me.
Don't wait to delude
Read my poems and not exclude
Spirit will exude.
Run interference
For my facial appearance
Hope disappearance.
At times my poem bores
Wish they were as good as yours
Coming out my pores.

My little brother cut his hair on my watch
I decided to fix it, the best I could do.
He was squirming, it’s uneven, a job of botch.
Not my fault I told my mom, blame it on Hugh.
Hugh is three, mama said. I blame you, you, you.
That made me angry, now I am irritated with Hugh.
When a little bro cuts his hair, what’s a big brother to do?
I have to tell you, now we are both in the doghouse too.
She wasn’t a beauty
though pretty enough
Her gait charismatic
with looks to rebuff
He wanted to stop her
he waited and watched
For light in the tunnel
one chance not to botch
At last she took notice
his heart beating fast
Their eyes locked together
a fleeting repast
Time was suspended
new love in the air
As she boarded her plane

I've never learned to change a tire.
It's not a skill I wish to acquire.
If stuck I'm always going to hire..
Also, can't change my car's oil,
perhaps I was a bit spoiled.
Cooking I botch, even with foil..
Couldn't dance til I took aerobics.
I've always been math a phobic.
Don't have the patience to be stoic..
There's just one skill I'd like to hone,
speak Chinese on the phone, so
telemarketer's will leave me alone...
I have a friend so dear
though clever she's not clear
to life and these things
her phone constantly rings
but to answer it is she don't
when to be somewhere she won't
if so she's surely late
even for a date
she has no sense of time
that doesn't seem to chime
I always behold the watch
I'm dependable don't botch
I ask myself this though
is time just a show
so we will be swift chasers
one day we'll be time erasers
Well versed
rehearsed
Best man
began
He joked
provoked
Each word
was slurred
Blah blah
faux pas
Defamed
and shamed
The bride
soon cried
Now crushed
she blushed
Red faced
disgraced
Without
a doubt
He put
his foot
Inside
his snide
Wide scouth
loud mouth
Not quite
contrite
Ashamed
he blamed
His botch
on Scotch.
