Thoughts On Baseball

Home runs are exciting,
hormone inviting
and such.

The teams that do best, tho
regard bases as step towards.
They got the touch.

Here Comes the Pitch

Silence -- bases loaded,
Base-runners paused, mid-pose'
Caps set, brows of sweat.
  Almost ready now. Here comes:
Pitch, Swing, Home Run, Cheer -- We Won!

World Series - Game 1

The bat is in Freddy Freeman's grip.
He's injured, but can he let it rip?
With two outs, bases loaded,
first pitch, his bat exploded -
grand slam! Freddy takes a four-base trip.

Bases For Cases That a Lawyer Faces

Bases for Cases That A Lawyer Faces

We always wondered what was basis,
Which had to do with all of the cases;
We read;
Often dread;
Then found that every lawyer faces.

Whack It Far

Hit ball far,far,far
Home-run? Be team's star!

Round the bases - just be fast!
Please don't get to them last!

In field catch
Or meet match!

Stop them from run?
Least having fun!

Rudolph Found Home

Rudolph Found Home

Rudolph's reindeer was less merry
Till his horns haul of wild cherry
Gone were the pits
Red nose got a hit
Deer chased the bases in a hurry

Zenball: a World of Homers

The clear zing into the air
As my thoughts depart from existence.
The little brain waves ramble along the bases.
Sick to the thought of motion my spirit hovers.
For I never left home plate.
I am everywhere all the time.

Pupidee and Bupbidop Bididi

No one knows what is DB
But these are Data Bases

If crime is planned
They're Pupidee

Their fingerprints and faces

Path to Justice do compute
Computer for the Justice

Whom do you defend in true
The privacy or nasties?

Dh

April sixth, nineteen-seventy-three
A-L pitchers became bat free

and the designated hitter was born
and those fans did eat a lot of popcorn

Ron Blomberg was the first
that started the thirst

for homeruns and extra bases
as fans showed their happy faces

Fantasy Baseball

Tinker Evers and Chance
their double play romance

Ty Cobb terror on bases
also with many faces

if Babe Ruth played today
can't imagine his pay

a D-H for sure
his homeruns were pure

baseball and fantasy
for me it is easy

baseball's my desire
my juices on fire

Landing in The Dream Catchers Mit

He sends me to bases that have stunned many faces, including that of mine.I feel the dream catchers power running through my spine, incresing my faith, to run to next base without stumbling, very humbling. As I strive to reach home base, keeping my vision on the Dream Catchers Mitt.

Summertime

Sand, sun, ocean breeze, clear blue water at my knees, Exotic places, smiling faces, little kids are running bases, Ice cream sundaes, laid-back Monday's, Laughing aloud without a care, chlorine dripping from my hair, Riding bikes at the park, staying out until after dark. Summertime.

Rundown

“In a rundown, the runner is in a pickle that could become a rhubarb.” ~ by poet Rundown. He's trapped between bases being pursued by the fielders who glibly smile because they know they have the advantage, to perhaps overtake and tag the beleaguered runner, to foil the run. Rundown.

Twice

`

It was the bottom of the ninth, two outs
We were down by one run
Bases were loaded
I was at the plate with a full count
I glanced to the stands and saw her
I smiled at her,
she smiled at him
I struck out,
twice

Since the World Series is about to start
I decided to post something baseball themed. : )

I Knew We Could

I know we can win
I know we can, I know it

Bases loaded,
Two outs,
It’s the last batter...
It’s me...

Swing! And a
Miss…strikes one!
Swing! And a
Miss…strike two!
Last one…

crack!
I see a dot of white zoom out over the in field
I see it zoom over the out field
It’s going and gone!

I knew we could win it…

A Hunch About Shohei Otani

Shohei Ohtani is in a league of his own
playing baseball in a whole new zone

He hits home runs a mile
       poker-faced, never smiles

    Rounds the bases like lightning
       his speed almost frightening

And this near-mythical man pitches ‘lights out’ too!
Methinks he's a robot ~ How about you?

John F Kennedy

John F. Kennedy 1917-1963 The great 35th president of US It wasn't really a success He tried to stop the missile bases There were lot of angry faces When there was about to be a war Peace was what he asked for Texas was the place he was shot Later, the criminal was caught He didn't survive the pain His people cried like the rain

Stop Selling Our Country In Market

With such precious thing as freedom
heaven granted us at once in millennium
or if your people lucky one
in half of this time schedule.
So why on earth our governs,
president and parliamentary body,
so disposed to quench all
our attributes and bases of freedom,
Look out to world from your luxury caverns!
Stop selling our country in market!

The Seder

We covered all the bases –
Told the story, though in brief.
With a toddler and an infant,
It brought everyone relief.

Moses, Pharaoh, matzoh,
Dipping veggies, drinking wine,
Taking turns with the Haggadah,
Festive meal on which to dine.

Every Seder’s slightly different
As my memories attest,
But with grandkids at the table,
This one ranks up with the best.
