Better for the soul a nugget of wisdom to possess, than a billion in gold bars to amass!

a firkin of port and a glass
through my lips a last drop will pass
my thirst I now blunt
as thoughts it will stunt
in my john my food will amass

Better it is for one's soul
A nugget of wisdom to possess
Than
A billion in gold bars he to
Amass!

In the morning
without warning
tiny droplets of dew
for prisms of glass
on blades of grass
all colors amass
reflections of past.
I remember you.
Just as the dew.
Years by the thousands, they swiftly pass,
Transformed into mere blinks, oh, how they amass,
In the grand scheme of time, my existence,
A fleeting moment in the cosmic dance.
To The Moon And Back
We soared like rockets to the moon
Streaking skies heat as we swoon
Clouds amass at first
Erecting frenzy burst
Back on earth our butterflies croon

Yearning to shave time,
amass his fortunes,
he set his sights on
uncharted waters
and built a castle
in the sand instead.

The dark skyscape is immense
Covering moon in darkness
Ships amass the shore bustle
Beautiful to see
Follow the cooled openness
Water gurgles in the wind
Swiftly the clouds go on by
I delve in the calm
Russell Sivey
an apology approaches awesome ambience
adverse advances amass at altars
academically aroused arcades are absolved
astonishingly abrupt adverbs articulate arduously
atlas awakens all around
arrggghhhhh audacious aardvarks attack aimlessly
hands are clean manicured
perfumed groomed
our minds are dirty filthy
they plot and judge greedy
amass and accumulate
fire fuelled of fear
insecurity is an addiction
accumulators breathe heavily
our minds are dirty
the stains of innocent
blood

Rich is the man who reads and scans,
Know habit can amass bold trends.
Wise ways work well if you but dwell,
In simple spells soul truly tells.
So take a look in placid nooks,
From lively books know sensuous hooks.

Pass On Weeds In Grass
Am searching through all of the grass.
For weeds which have started to amass;
Am getting tired,
So someone hired;
Too old and tired and surely shall pass.

Kirshner's hotel address that he owns.

On autumn trees the garnet leaves amass
Predestined flocks of birds to there alight
Quiescent in stiff gusts of October
Rosaceous in the sun's reclusive rays
Silent butterflies pirouette to earth

I move with purpose and tremor
Wading in Death's Secret Sea to spill gray and heavy summers
Steaming rain is stalking
A walker crawls over with its incessant rage and hunger
Rest my heart in your cool resolve if you dare
Somebody soon dead
treads upon your life.
through years
we amass
collections
they’re only things
dust collectors
we call them clutter
although
each one's unique
holds a story
and a little piece
of our heart

Hunger sails the horizon,
Like a ship lost at sea.
The cast of castaways,
Drift slowly past me.
Hollowed and gaunt,
Empty orbs that pray.
The faces that haunt,
Just another sad day.
The blind lead the blind,
For the scraps we amass.
Does anyone notice,
As they suffer the past?
Run the gauntlet
Doomsday athlete
Amass wealth
Over own health
Kill for sport
Rot will eat
Kill for hate
Hell already ate
Love more
A lottery draw
Loveless
Chalk murder drew
Fast from the past
The future passed
Light years ago
Now let ego go
Race you home
You have none
Earth was blue
A hole we blew
Prize prompt poise
Void vile voice
Craft clear choice
Dream deep dance
Claim crisp chance
Pray proud prance
Love lives laughs
Sense sure stuff
Breach big bluff
Apt art apes
Taut tough tape
Sketch sound shapes
Face free fate
Glimpse grand gate
Meek minds mate

Seek to know why,
Trace a sure style;
Apt as a sigh,
Rest in sure smile;
Live in the light,
Ink steady write;
Grace makes things right,
Hurl words that cite;
Touch with kind thought.
Trust weaves appeal,
Rouse clever plot,
Amass fond feel;
Choose to be free,
Explore this sea.

Stuck in a haze, vision’s all gray,
Room like a maze, I cannot stay
Mind is a blaze.
Choking on ash, trying to thinks fast
Thoughts will not amass, body’s about to crash.
Last moments starts to flash,
Suffocation ends at last.

will end when and where
have been many lives to spare
be kind and take care
many overwrought
by hamas they had been shot
so much sin was sought
lying and beguile
blew up buildings mile by mile
killed a little child
list of sins surpass
many body bags amass
where will it all end
will read this weekend
solve problems do intend
many minds must mend
I dove and dissolved into ocean...
falling into the great eye;
Delphinus imprisoned me
for a cosmic lifetime.
What moon dares play
with my soul?
Esoteric divinity
gifts the blood
with insight.
No conjurer’s trick can
amass these miracles;
cosmic energies collide
among colliding atoms;
the God particle
hides in the light
of soul.
Candy corn rays of sunlight melt through the glass,
where frosty ice-coated rills amass.
Finger placed against the pane
leaves a misty stain,
when cold day's
rain
gently plays
through emotion's strain,
but glad as my feelings drain.
I pour myself a glass of wine as
candy corn rays of sunlight melt through the glass.

Do you feel like a trapped spider
In an upturned glass?
Do these feelings come and go,
Do you think that they might pass?
Have your insecurities and doubts
Expanded into fears?
Have these anxieties deepened
And increased in recent years?
Well …
You need much more self-belief,
Your courage you must amass,
For the cure is in your own hands,
Only you can break the glass …
When a poem you write is like a toy car,
it’s all wound up (vroom vroom) to take the reader far.
If it’s much too short, give the poem gas.
More words are the fuel you’ll need to amass.
If it’s way too long, your poem might sputter.
Add it then to your other toy car clutter.
When your poem, like a car, runs smoothly – assume
it will take folks for a ride with a zipitty zoom zoom.
